We've got the worst disciplinary record in L2 (joint with Fleetwood Town). http://www.sportinglife.com/football/league-two/table/discipline Not only that..it's the worst out of all 4 leagues! (no adjustment made for number of games played) Although there's been a few poor officials I don't think we're being victimised, and our foul count is mid-table so we're not a 'dirty' team. I think we've got a lot of frustrated players; and also players making mistakes because either they or their colleagues are playing out of position. I reckon this is just as worrying a stat as just 4 wins out of 20 league and cup games this season!
thee cassn't win promo with 9 men. do hope these doanee go down. why not take a mortgage out on the crossbones and buy a player in january, preferably one whose discipline is good
These 'players' are professionals. They should realise and understand the situation that they are in. They know they have a lot of injured players in the team and to have this level of lack of discipline creates even more pressure. They shouldnt let frustration get the better of them. I do believe playing out of position will would contribute to making errors and picking up yellows so that is understandable. However the player we have with the worse discipline is Parkes and he hasnt been out of position. With the amount of injuries we have had and the lack of discipline that is rising, Mcghee should of sorted this out ages ago as cant afford to lose more players via suspension. Kenneth now out for 1 match vs Port Vale away and that means we will get stuffed big time on Tuesday and Richards will get a 3 match ban meaning he will miss Port Vale, Bradford and WYCOMBE - where he scored 2 goals but then got taken away from him as the game was abandoned.
It's a poor record and one that is indicative of a wider malaise at the club. MM needs to inject some pride into the players.
