Since we're back in the top 3 I thought we could list our top 3 things about today. Mine are: 1. Spurs won. 2. Arsenal lost. 3. Sigurdsson. I thought he did very well today 3b) Clattenburg lost COYS
1 and 2 are the main points for me too, but our longest ever unbeaten run in the Premier League coming against the Goons is nice, too.
1. scoring 2 goals against the run of play 2. Wenger and Bould sitting on the bench, with a look on their face like they have crapped their pants 3. showing the bottle to see the win through
You can still change it! 1) Assured defensive performance - Walker was probably the weakest and he had a good game also 2) Lennon scoring - I really like this guy and his run was the run of a midfielder with the taste for goal 3) Clattenberg's performance - Honestly think he had an excellent game; let the game flow when possible and handled difficult situations well. His only real mistake was not giving the foul on Cazorla that ended up with Spurs's 2nd goal, which went heavily in our favour!
1. The likes of Lennon and Dawson still being at the club, still working hard and giving so much to the team. 2. Jermain Defoe's back. Not even that much of a fan but very, very glad to see him back. And he's absolutely ****ing Yiddo (refer back to number 1) 3. The fact that this team just keeps getting good results and we can so obviously still get better. Sig's starting to look more comfortable, Kaboul's coming back (though will he get in?), Defoe's coming back, Holtby will adjust and add something, Ade might remember how to play again...Well you never know. Quick addition of least favourite thing - comparing the fixture lists of us, Chelsea and Arsenal. Sod that - right now just feel that we're good enough to keep our destiny in our own hands.
Agree with all the points already made but should we start thinking about 2nd? Or is that pushing it a bit far?!
Let's just see how we go from here, shall we? Keep picking up points and hope to put one over City and Chelsea, who we still have to play.
If we finish 2nd, it will be because City have royally screwed up, as with city on form there is way we could battle with them for top 2, so while it would be great to finish 2nd, It could allow us to believe we're better then we actually are.
If Villa win tomorrow them i may believe but there is almost zero chance of that. I just hope we can believe. Liverpool will be very tough. A draw would not be a bad result.
A draw even would leave them just 3 points ahead of us - you have to beleive that 3 points could be bridged. I am not saying we will do it but if you don't aim high ......
1. - Arsenal fans having a miserable journey home 2. - Arsenal fans having a miserable day tomorrow 3. - Wenger not sacked (long may the buffoon stay!)
crackerman,if Saints can beat City then so can Villa. I'd settle for a draw though then it's only three points.
