I know there wasn't much in it at the end of the day but I feel that finishing in the top 10 rather than limping over the line into 14th will make all the difference when it comes to signing (fingers crossed) that big marquee player. It just sounds so could, imagine how different the discussions will sound between Quinn/club and player/agent. "Come and play in front of 40,000+ fans in the best league in the world for one of its top half teams. I also hope it might keep Gyans head down and he won't be thinking of departing. I also think it could give us an advantage if we face competition from.any of the bottom half clubs for players signatures

The biggest thing about finishing top 10 is that Bruce achieved the target set down by Ellis Short.

Short is therefore more likely to continue to back him this window, as his expectation for his outlay so far has been met.

If next season's target is top 7 say, then Ellis needs to back the manager to bring in top 7 players.

That means bothering the club transfer record, possibly more than once.

I think if we're honest, we all know the answer after the January debarcle. The SB quote still rings in my ears...........

    "Every player has his price"

You all know my feelings about Bruce, but for now ill bury the hatchet, ill get behind him and hope for the best for next season, i hope that next season he will have learned his lessons.

But if we have a piss poor run in the second half of the season, as in the two before then i will be very vocal on wanting him out.

Also the difference between 14th and 10th is around £5m so he's off to a good start straight away, could get a decent squad player with that money.
