Stokielad Well I am glad that you do not thnk that all the players TP have bought are crap! The most disappointing recently have been KJ and last season Walters in particular just lost confidence. I saw Salif Diao enough times to tell me he had no creativity in his feet or brain. Who else. I still do not think that Whelan, Whitehead are not consistently capable of playing at the heighest level in EPL. Neither are Wilko or Shotton if we are being honest. I think Ryan Shotton was given little help towards the end of the season. Is there any future for Arismendi? The same applies for Wilson Palacios in my view. There are players such as Beattie who did a job for Stoke and the goals he got went a long way to keeping us up in 2009. I thought all credit to TP for that business. TP has done well with buying the likes of Pennant and Ethrington to give us some flair. Ryan Shawcross top buy IMO. Huth was good. I do not think TP knew how to handle the talent of Tuncay, but the same could be said of other managers. Wilson, I hope will be playing in midfield rather than left back and we will see perhaps how he can play but midfield need others to pass to and make runs. I still maintain that not enough players make themselves available to receive passes and it is this for me is teh crux of the matter. Those players also need to be able to PASS a ball!!! I have not seen the interview but I do hope the Popov deal is not dead. Cameron visas, work permits, biometrics tests should have been sorted now. I know of no other club that struggles as much to sign players as Stoke do! This latest snag with Cameron is just a joke!! How many weeks has this been going on ffs. Whose job is it to oversee these transfers and get everything in place? Pi55ed off before we`ve even started!! Hope to God I`m wrong but unless things change I don`t see how we will survive this season.

Huth at RB isn't "insane", if we line up exactly the same as the majority of last season, it would be, but very small changes can oft lead to massively different results. Even last season there was some variation, the basis of the team the same but odd tweaks, but I'll admit that's not a great example, as the results didn't differ much. I've got a feeling Ness will play LB, had a couple of friendlies playing there. Not ideal, but he's actually left footed, and maybe Wilson will be "promoted" up the pitch, if he can remember how to play CM.
Well he isn't at RB so need to debate, but any true big CB with no outright pace played at full back to mark wingers is INSANE. Huth and Woody had the turning circle of the QE2 and to make it even more INSANE is that he was and probably still is our best CB! I have no issues with 3 X CBs if played with 2 X FBs/WBs and we retain balance.
