Two big games tonight with Brighton playing Reading and the skates at home to Millwall. Let's hope for a Brighton Millwall double!

A red card or two for Reading wouldn't be a bad thing either!

    Morning all <ok>

We'll hopefully do our bit to help you guys out as well as ourselves

Looking at the updated table after yesterday's games us beating Pompey would effectively relegate them as they'd be nine points adrift with only four games left so that's why I think them now being in last chance saloon means they'll throw the kitchen sink at us tonight but at the same time if we score the first goal they'll crumble with their brittle confidence.

For me the first goal tonight is massive as its such a fine line for them but after Coventry losing at the worzels I'd actually take only a draw if need be to pull away further from third bottom and our away form is so much better than our home form <ok>

Brighton will go in hard...perhaps some minor injuries to keep a couple of Reading players out for say..1 game....but can't see anything other than a Reading win. However, I still think we have a reasonable hope of a win or draw on Friday...after all, we have been near the top all season and will be at home. Reading will not just be trying to close us down, so should be a good game. Might be time for us to turn in a gritty performance.

A draw will do Steve. Anything other than a skates win and I think they are doomed!

For me they're doomed anyway lamba and a draw would be a good point given the circumstances as its a tight atmospheric ground which is never easy to visit with their fans making plenty of noise - in some ways it reminds me of our old Den <ok>

Imagine it'll be sold out not least for those wanting to still see Champ footy for the last time for a very long long time as I can honestly see them free falling in League 1 as I simply don't see how they can service their debt in the third tier but that's their problem and another debate entirely <ok>

Not all of them. Even when it's mathematically certain, I swear some will be checking out alternative mathematical systems, looking for a down side!
They could always ask Beddy for a second opinion, I suppose.;)

Just got my Posh ticket. Could get promoted there if we beat Reading and Posh and West Ham fail to win one of their 2 games. (Although we'll be all but up if we win the two games anyway)

I cannot believe that I am going to be cheering on good ole Gus Poyet to victory tonight! Its almost too much to bear watching his little face after they beat Reading, but I guess you can accept a little evil to achieve a greater good. COYRs - within sight of the finishing line.

I would be happy with Brighton dropping points tonight as they would then be more up for it against West Ham at the weekend. Or would they be if they beat reading and then hope to consolidate a place in playoffs against West Ham? Either way hope they beat west ham, we beat reading on Friday and titles ours!

Agreed it's needs must. I can't stand him either. I do quite like McDermott though.

Steve, did you watch the derby game at St Marys last Saturday? Pompey did anything BUT crumble when they went behind - twice! I realise that derby games bring out extra passions, but I have to acknowledge that Skates were still 'throwing the kitchen sink' at us in the 94th minute (sadly)!

Not sure they will be able to do that two games in a row. The City result must have hurt! They need to win at least four of their last five and that's not likely!
