Everything points to an easy home win With our players hitting top form, Grabban and Jerome taking turns to score And taking this league by storm With Howson and Hooper too, leading the pack Of those clamouring to get in, Tomorrow´s game against the lowly Brum Ought not to get us in a spin But better teams than us time and again Have fallen into the same trap, When going well against those who are not Complacency can close the gap This really mustn´t happen tomorrow And spoil what has been a great week, Adams, so far has kept them to the wheel Focussed so they play near their peak And if he can get that message across Then tomorrow should be a breeze, So even Lee Clark, who won´t want to lose Might want to call time early, please Banana skins will occasionally fall In front of our path this year too, I feared that Brentford could have been that sort But we steered clear of that, thank you So one more of the same, fully controlled Would be the order from the Doc, And send the clear signal to other teams Watch out for the new kid on the block. Cheers RBF. Important game tomorrow. As Adams said those six away points would have the shine taken off somewhat by any points dropped. I honestly can't see complacency being an issue. Hope the atmosphere at the ground is better than the last few games. If you start singing in the South stand people look at you like you've just been released from an asylum.
It´s a long time since I´ve heard it called the South Stand, brings back a few memories - but no you´re probably right, there certainly shouldn´t be any complacency, but it doesn´t take much to cause a problem. But somehow the presence of Gary Holt on the touchline, is for me, very reassuring, he´s certainly not one you want to meet at half-time if you´ve taken it easy during the first half.
It'll always be the South stand to me! Used to hate the fact that we had blue seats in our stadium. I think Adams is getting a lot of credit, and deservedly so, but Holt should be recognised as well. As you say , I certainly wouldn't want to be on his bad side at half time. Used to love him as a player. I remember him scoring at the Barclay End against Burnley from the edge of the area. In off the crossbar. Lovely goal! The team looks really fit. I imagine he puts them through their paces and some!
nice verse RBF , as you say we will slip up a few times that is footie but Im actually excited at the thought of going to Carrow Road today that is not a feeling I ever had last year
Yep, certainly no reason not to feel excited, jarold, hopefully that feeling will spread itself to the players and make things even better!
