If anyone watched the football league show would have been impressed with Rowe he scored one and made one I say swap him for Varney and pay at end of season
I believe he is the one who told his club he wanted to come to Leeds but his parent club have backed out of the deal.
I've been saying the same thing Bucks, it's sad that we can't afford the 500,000 or so to get him because I really think he'd be brilliant for us..
I doubt we'd struggle to find £500k, especially if we've apparently just turned down £1.2m for Ross.
Could well be right Aide but surely that's very short sighted ,I have a feeling that if Boro uo the ante to £2m then the money released will get Rowe and Millswithy perhaps Hall or Varney going to Posh
I don't really know much about Mills, but some fans think he's lazy and has an attitude and we certainly don't need someone like that if it's true, in the squad. Rowe I'm a fan of and if we've any ambition 500,000 is peanuts in todays game. I'm sure had he been playing against Leicester he would have created chances, especially for Smith.
in the case of Mills Bolton are playing hard ball but without a ball Mills is surplus to requirements and costing 25k a week is a very expensive toy.I believe if we hold out long enough we will get Mills for nothing paying a fee to him for signing and then paying him 10k plus bonus if we get promotion and that's the way to play it.I also having watched him think he was going through the motions but BM believes he can get the best out of him only time will tell but he made £4m out of the sale to Leicester clearly he thinks he can do it again. Hope money hasn't got to him to much its a bit like Beckford think they are better than they are
Peterborough don't have to sell Rowe, they'd make more money by keeping him until the end of the season with him helping them get promotion. They wouldn't sell for anything under 7 figures, and even then I reckon they'd hold out for more. It's how I wish we operated with regards to selling players. They got nearly £8m for Gayle - when was the last time we held out for a ridiculous price for one of our players?
I think it was for the 2 boys bought by Chelsea for £4m Tiawo and the young lad from York his name escapes me but I think im right in saying neither of them have done much good
Leeds sold Taiwo and Woods to Chelsea for £5m ... and the money evaporated into thin air in an instant. Delph went to Villa for £6m ... and the money evaporated yet again. The thing about selling is that if its a Prem club chances are you'll get five times as much as you would selling to a Championship club. Bolton's problem is no one can afford to pay Mills wages and so they can't shift him to sign a better replacement. Let's see what happens after Prem clubs have registered their 25-man squads, there will be a lot of surplus players available on season loans with a buy clause built in.
Loan to buy could suit us at the minute, we don't have the money to spend on someone who turns out to be a flop.
I reckon we should turn our attention to Craig Dawson anyway. Same sort of price as Mills by the sounds of things and is probably on lower wages as well. Younger and better imo and the only reason Bolton wanted Mills off their wage bill is so they could buy this lad.
