Toss a coin between Heaton and Marshall as to who is the better keeper. That Malky kept faith with him even in the Carling Cup Final tells you something. Dave Jones had a whole sesson when he couldn't make up his mind between them - neither could most of the fans, including me (not the most commanding of keepers in the air, but a great shot stopper and everything sticks like glue). Usually there is a clear difference between your number one and two. Heaton would be first choice at most Championship clubs.

Honestly gutted that Heaton has gone... But with Marshall, Heaton was too good to play number 2, as Marshall was to Heaton. Unfortunately one of them had to go, and Bristol have inherited a cracker on a free!

Well i was in the Heaton camp, his distribution is 10 times as good as Marshall's and there was little difference between them for everything else. You have got yourselves a good keeper there who is hungry for first team football, best of luck to him and you for the forthcoming season.
