Bristol Rovers would like to announce the departure of our Academy Manager Tom Curtis. Tom is to take up a position with the English FA as a Youth coach Educator. This means he will continue in Youth Development working with coaches and young players in the countryâs Academy system. Tom has been with us for two years and has overseen the development of the Academy coaching programme. He has lead the introduction of the EPPP (Elite Players Performance Programme) into the Academy. He has been involved in the development of players such as Tom Lockyer, Matthew Macey and Oliver Mehew. In his time he has helped enhance the reputation of the Academy at our club as one of the best and most productive in the UK. Bristol Rovers is committed to continuing and building on its already successful Academy programme. Jonathan Henderson, the Academyâs current Head of Coaching will take over as Academy Manager until the end of the season. This promotion of Jonathan will help to provide the best transition possible for players and parents in the system. http://bristolroverssc.co.uk/2014/11/10/tom-curtis-moves/
Must've been doing something right to get a role with the FA - well done Tom and best of luck for the future
