He was very good when he came on and in my opinion deserves to start the season in the first 11. Anderson, Welbeck and Smalling were also very good.

Yes I agree. Anderson and Cleverly deserve their chance. Now hopefully all this Sneidjer rubbish will die away. Those 2 should play in our 11.

Yes we should still try to sign Sneijder if possible but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen. Cleverly certainly should be given a chance, clearly improved our team today

He should be given a chance even if we sign a top midfielder. There are a lot of games to be played

This isn't a downer on Cleverley who has played very well in pre-season but he works well in a game when we are attacking quite fluidly but I'm not sure if he ready to be a fully fledged central midfielder yet. This type of game suited him very well because we had possesion quite high up the field but in a tight game say at Stamford Bridge where we won't have all of the possession, how well will his defensive discipline be? Hopefully, very good!

This is true. We have four central midfielders who are all good when we are playing our fluid attacking game, but apart from Fletch all tend to struggle when the midfield is flooded and competitive. Too early to tell if Cleverley will be able to make the difference in games like these.

I think we will have 4 weak cm all year tbh, compared to the wrodl class bracket, hopefully we can buy one proven dm or solid cm, if not, hey ho we will still get title number 20

I agree he should get more time but imo we still need a proven CM and I'm thinking we'll be signing one soon. <ok>

That is why I like Anderson so much. He is the only CM, Giggs aside, that looks to get on the ball and turn and face the opposition. He backs his technique and pace and power to push the the opposition back. Carrick has to face forwards to do this probably because he isn't Scholes when it comes to touch and turning. IMO doing just that is key against midfields that press high up the pitch, sometimes you have to trust your touch and take the game to the opposition.
