1 SWP to play with brother Bradley in NY (He is really gone) 2 Toilet being followed by Bournemouth, no legs in this ...they have better on their bench 3 Charlie to Newcastle, they are willing to pay 15 million and his "greedy" wages...does he want to go "upnorf" This Monday...no sign of incoming defenders
Cheers Beth. 1) Don't care 2) Probably don't care. 3) Absolutely and indisputably, irrefutably and resolutely DO care! Agree we need defenders but at least CR and Sir Les seem to know what they're doing so let's wait to see what happens.
Newcastle delay £15m Charlie Austin deal due to concerns over shoulder injury Newcastle United are still hopeful of signing Charlie Austin from QPR Austin has made it clear he wants transfer to St James' Park But deal held up by Newcastle worries over medical issue and price Newcastle United remain interested in signing Charlie Austin and the Queens Park Rangers striker favours a move to St James' Park. Sources close to the Magpies have indicated to Sportsmail that a game of 'brinkmanship' between the two clubs is delaying the deal, with Newcastle unwilling to pay the £15million asking price. Indeed, it is a long-standing shoulder problem that United remain most wary about. please log in to view this image Charlie Austin is at the centre of a transfer tussle between Newcastle United and QPR please log in to view this image Austin (left) strikes a shot on goal during QPR's pre-season friendly at Barnet last week http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3175968/Newcastle-delay-15m-Charlie-Austin-deal-concerns-shoulder-injury.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 More gossip & rumours here on this news feed:- http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship/QPR
More journalistic bollox written as fact...... BTW did anyone else read Rod Liddle's piece in The Sunday Times yesterday? He really doesn't like us, egging on the Football League to fine and demote us to the Conference so his beloved Millwall can be re-instated in The Championship.......
We are "alledgedly" in talks with Wigan RB James Perch.....and please can the punology merchants from the James Perch stay away from this thread...PLEASE
Yeah, I read that article, the latest in a long line of attacks on QPR. I can barely bring myself to read his biased, ill-informed rubbish any more. He must be the worst journalist on the Sunday Times staff. He really does dislike QPR generally but this latest garbage was fuelled by his desire for his beloved Millwall to take our place. I think he and Millwall deserve each other: a perfect match.
Charlie move to Newcastle depends on his shoulder http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/07/2...-reason-charlie-austins-move-to-newcastle-ha/
Here's a link to Liddle's article.... http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/sport/football/article1585345.ece The problem is that you have to subscribe to read the whole piece.....
I read it on Sunday....it is not worth wasting precious time over...he just thinks it is JUST SO UNFAIR!
The whole of the Sunday Times is written by the same 4 or 5 talentless idiots - Clarkson, AA Gill, Camilla Long and Lidl. They all have multiple stories all over the paper. All specialise in opinions they don't care about except for how much money they can be sold for.
Look what someone has written about him... HARRISON, N.J. (July 27, 2015) – Former English Premier League standout Shaun Wright-Phillips has signed a contract with the New York Red Bulls. A former member of England’s World Cup team, Shaun Wright-Phillips joins his brother Bradley with the Red Bulls. Per MLS and club policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed. “Shaun is a proven player who has played on soccer’s largest stage,” said New York Red Bulls Sporting Director Ali Curtis. “He can play a number of positions for us and is an excellent fit in our locker room. When we evaluated the unique set of circumstances along with the quality that Shaun has, it became apparent that we needed to be aggressive about adding Shaun to our club. We are pleased that he will be wearing a Red Bull jersey and we can’t wait for him to take the field.” http://www.newyorkredbulls.com/post/2015/07/27/new-york-red-bulls-sign-shaun-wright-phillips How many years back did he last standout apart from that goal at the bridge for us?
This is the USA Utes, they know nothing really about "soccer". It's still well behind baseball, NFL, basketball and (ice)hockey.
I wonder if we would have seen an improvement in the performances of SWP if we had paired BWP up him here? Definitely a few more goals one would have thought and I'm sure BWP could have been signed from Charlton for a song. Not a bad scoring record in the lower leagues, but has become quite prolific at NY Red Bulls. please log in to view this image Shaun Wright-Phillips joins brother at New York Red Bulls Shaun Wright-Phillips has signed for New York Red Bulls and will join his younger brother Bradley at the Major League Soccer club. The 33-year-old winger, who made 36 England appearances, has made the move following nearly four years at QPR. He has also had spells at Manchester City and Chelsea and made 299 Premier League appearances. "He has been training here and we have seen his professionalism," Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch said. "We think he is a tremendous addition both on the field and as a veteran presence in our locker room." Shaun Wright-Phillips, who was a free agent after his QPR contract expired last month, played with striker Bradley at Manchester City in 2004. Bradley Wright-Phillips, 30, joined Red Bulls in 2013 and has scored 41 goals in 63 appearances for the club. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/33680673 Personal information Full name Bradley Edward Wright-Phillips[1] Date of birth (1985-03-12) 12 March 1985 (age 30) Place of birth Lewisham, England Height 1.73 m (5 ft 8 in)[2] Playing position Forward Club information Current team New York Red Bulls Number 99 Youth career 2001–2004 Manchester City Senior career* Years Team Apps† (Gls)† 2004–2006 Manchester City 32 (2) 2006–2009 Southampton 111 (22) 2009–2011 Plymouth Argyle 32 (17) 2011–2013 Charlton Athletic 82 (31) 2013 → Brentford (loan) 15 (5) 2013– New York Red Bulls 58 (36) National team 2005 England U20 5 (0) please log in to view this image https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradley_Wright-Phillips
