Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves loose. Wigan will too. I'd say they were good results. As long as we keep ahead of these four, we'll be fine. All four are pretty terrible. Elsewhere, four goals for Jordan Rhodes today. If no Defoe, then worth a go?
Nah, Roy Keane decided he wasn't good enough and replaced him with Tamas Priskin so that's good enough for me. Priskin must be available though, and where's Marcus Bent nowadays?
Agreed, but we're not far ahead of them in the table. Could be very near them before the transfer window!
Would have been good if Newcastle had beaten Swansea today as they desrved to, also I reckon Blackburn - West Brom and Fulham - Bolton draws may have suited us better. Reckon any club from Norwich in 9th down is in the relegation fight, possibly Stoke in 8th as well if they go far in Europe and wear themselves out so much that they can't take throw ins any more.
As long as we keep ahead of three of them we'll be fine. There's certainly more to come from our bunch. A couple of them seem to be coasting which is right annoying but if/when we click into gear and hopefully add some goals in Jan then I can see us finishing 13th-16th and nice and safe.
Talking of Chelsea, my sister took our nephew to Brighton today and they had 2 men sent off in the first 10 minutes. They lost one nil but held out for 58 minutes subsequently without conceding. Does that break Chelsea's record or was it premiership only?
Wigan looked uncomfortably good against the scum now, a win woudn't have been undeserved. Luckily for us it was 1-1
I think it was more a case of Chelsea underestimating them and thinking they could coast at 1-0. It's a bonus point for Wigan which is obviously not great for us but 3000 angry neanderthals on the M6 puts a smile on my face.
