We have it in many other sports - so why not football. I'd like to think that referees will welcome the 'help' that it is designed to be. Decisions can be reviewed in the same time that is currently taken to harass a referee by the 'aggrieved' team. .... We actually already have a system of review in football - primarily for appeals against red cards - so why not take it a step closer to the match in question - because a rescinded red card does little to help a team that 'loses' a player unjustly dismissed. I have heard the contrary position - that football is as much about the bad decisions as the correct ones - but you wouldn't tolerate injustice in other areas of your life - why put up with it in a sport that isn't exactly cheap to follow - I still find it difficult to believe that people can accept being 'cheated' out of the correct decision when technology exists to allow clarity.
