I would like to go back to...
. The assassination of JFK (so I can watch the grassy knoll).
. England winning the World Cup in 1966
    . Woodstock
. Jack The Ripper London (to see who it was).
. The Globe Theatre 1600 to see William Shakespeare

The night of the day I broke up with my long term ex I was at a small house party with some work colleagues at the time and a few others. Wasn’t in a great mood although it was my decision to end it so just got bladdered. My best work mate was nailing the new (fit, filthy and posh) graduate, who had brought her equally fit and posh but marginally less filthy mate along having arranged beforehand for her to shag the lad whose house it was (this was a leaving party so sort of a going away present). He was a good looking lad so it wasn’t that odd. Anyway, for some reason the lad wasn’t keen on the idea, being more of a sensitive soul, and over the course of the evening for some reason she took an increasing shine to me as one of the very few available males. It probably helped we were both crashing at the same place later, but I digress. In the small hours of the morning, without going into too gory a detail, she was exactly where I’d now want her to be but at the time my head was a bit of a mess. It was a new one to me that she had to take a tampon out but I’ve done considerably worse since. However, I completely bottled it and with it the chance of nailing a second good looking bird in well under 24 hours.

So yeah I’d like to go back and put that moment right. Either that or something do with Ancient Rome.

You'd probably have been better off in Ancient Rome, their orgies were legendary...<laugh>

It’s bad enough disappointing one person.

Hmmm. One is a no brainer for me and the others more tricky.

    1. Three days after Christ's death at a garden tomb. Everything hinges on that moment!

    2. VE day to share in the jubilation.

    3. Wembley 1966 or maybe 24.5.14.

    4. I suppose I ought to choose one horrible one so I'll go for Hiroshima. Amazing to see that RAW power. I'm.assuming the time machine protects me from being vaporized?!

It's a good thread. I would have different choices if the rules allowed us to change events.

Would it be possible to visit a time that hasn't happened yet?

    My 5:

    Ancient Rome, in the Colosseum.
Hitler's bunker when he committed suicide.
    Wembley Stadium 1966.
The Court of Queen Elizabeth 1st.
Chamberlain's meetings with Hitler in 1938 in Munich.

There are many. many more periods from History that I'd like to visit too.

Return to Wembley on 24 May 2014

Return to 3pm today and suggest Mrs Iwas didn’t bother (trying to) cook today and that we go out for dinner.

    My 5 would be:
    1966 World Cup Final
    1967 League Cup Final
To be a witness when the first human decided to milk a cow.....
to have seen a dinosaur many many many years ago (and not just Jurassic Park
and finally, I work occasionally for LEAFCharity in Dorset. I got involved after I lost my cousin to leukaemia and the founder of this charity beat this disease. I would love my cousin to see how her illness encouraged to participate and help raise funds for this worthwhile charity.

If I could add a 6th it would have been to have met Brixton - one of the originators of our beloved site that I only ever communicated with via this platform

I'd do the same but only from the 89th minute onwards, the previous period of the match was pure purgatory.

I had the good fortune of meeting BrixtonR ( for the third time ) just a couple of days before his death when we played Newcastle and lost 2-1 on the 12th May 2013. I'd like to go back to that day, although I'm not sure a lot would've changed between us. He got up and left the game along with his wife Patsy at half-time.

I’d like to go back to that day and stay in the C&S with Brix et al instead of going to the game.

Yeah, me too. It was a lovely sunny day and drinking beer would've been more enjoyable than watching Bosingwa and Green ****ing it up. Brix was on the orange juice that day as far as I can recall?
