Probably a bit absurd, but I don't know where we go once Millen is given the old heave-ho... Once we get rid of Millen, we will end appointing some average Championship manager and be part of mid-table obscurity I think. I say Lansdown gives it one last big shot at reaching the Premier League! Thats where he really wants to be, thats his ambition, if he truly wants it, why not go for it full guns blazing? I feel sorry for him, he has given money to the wrong managers to invest, and its been in dribs and drabs. This team is not good enough to be one of the 3 that go up, not this season, not next season, and I can't see it for the forseeable future. So why not give Martin O'Neill a call, say "look Marty, can I call you Marty? I am a decent bloke, I'm wealthy, and I love this club, I don't interfere, I am excessively patient. I got £15 million pounds transfer kitty, if your interested in making your own team and getting us into the premier league. You can have 50 grand a week in wages, what do ya say?" If it doesn't work, he still has enough money to buy everyone in the country 3 pints each if he felt like it, and he can sell the club onto someone else and get his money out of here once and for all. I know thats far fetched, but I'd love it if he did that...
A bit far fetched in terms of MON, who would really only go to a prem club or poissibly Forest once they sack McClaren but the basic premise is good. SL has a bunch of cash and most be thinking "WTF" at the moment. I really don't know why he allowed Millen to become manager and even more worryingly on a 3 year contract. This decision is in the npast but as any astute businessman knows, it's okay to make mistakes so long as you learn from them and then take swift action to change course. Time to act Steve..... it will be a disaster if we get relegated and this is the only outcome possible under the current tag team of Millen & Sexstone.
I know, its a right kick in the @rse... I actually feel more sorry for Steve Lansdown than any fan... He wants it as much as us, he's just put the money into the wrong peoples hands. He had horrible luck with Coppout and I don't think he took enough time to assess the situation. I know he's not the chairman anymore, but in my eyes, its still his club and he still calls the shots ultimately. I think unless he really wants to have one big final push and go at it whole heartedly he's better off without Bristol City. I'll get over my feeling sorry for him in a minute, after all he has enough money to wipe his @rse with if he wanted to.
