I personally think they were in on the abduction right from the start. A clever way of raising shed loads of cash from gullible people. Maddie is still alive and mark my words she will be reunited with her parents in a couple of years. That's my take on it anyway.

Sadly, I think the poor wee lassie is most likely dead. The colour thing in her eye makes her too easily recongnisable and therefore high risk to an abductor.
