A poor first half - both teams barely stringing passes together. Too nervous as ever. Neat and tidy but slow in the build up and no attacking threat. Long balls up to the Stoke defence with Charlie Austin looking for the knock downs. All first half goals due to needless schoolboy errors. Second half both sides reverted to 442. Much more fluid and open game. Rangers on top for a good 25 minutes. As ever just couldn't get the equalising goal. Joey Barton coming closest with a free kick that rattled the bar and bounced clear just the wrong side of the line. 2-2 would have been a fair result.
Not for me Beth it was a brilliant shot but from a dead ball ... we don't move well together we certainly look poor when any team is running at us ... no one individual ... its the total sum for me it just looks awful at the moment ansi am fuming that we have got here ... No Adel and the buying and sale of Mutch has taken the biscuit for me .. I hate the bastard
The first half was embarrassingly bad from both teams. All three goals would have been laughable in a Sunday league game. I wouldn't say we played well in the second half but there was at least a bit of a higher tempo and it exposed Stoke as a piss poor side that a better team than us would have pissed on. We really didn't get what we deserved but when you defend like tarts that will happen.
Once again well done to the travelling faithful. Blatently not getting what they deserve. Safe journey all.
That really don't sound good Wats. The only crumb of comfort I have is that I watched the Hull/Newkie game earlier and Dull looked even worse than us.
