The BTC and the DUAL contracts cases will never end. The reason is that the intimidation of a QC and of 32 journalists combined with the sabre rattling and rabble rousing, calls to march up the stairs of Hampden will lead some to believe that expediency took precedence over justice. I would be good for West of Scotland society and for Scottish Football if all the intimidation had never occurred, because it would remove any opportunity for the conspiracy theories to continue. No matter which way these judgements hd gone either side if the OF divide would in certain quarters have claimed conspiracy and in one case out right intimidation. Only last night a caller on a phone in had to be cut off due to what was referred to as threats. I doubt that this will ever settle and it would have been better had there never been intimidation and had the media not been calling for decisions by the football authorities to be rescinded. The latter point simply shows that some people do not understand the regulatory bodies operating the game. The Scottish football authorities can only deal with what is put in front of them. They never brought about the demise of rfc. The club or those who ran it brought it in their own heads. The SPL and SFA must deal with a liquidated club within the guidelines of UEFA and FIFA.
It will end in January/February Rangers owe tax on EBTs which appears to be every case that a side contract was found for EBT outcome doesn't really matter anyway, it was a tool used to kill Rangers and it done a nice job of it Side contracts are all that links us to Rangers now. If Rangers are found guilty and we are awarded titles I will gloat like a man who faced 100 murder charges but was only convicted of 30. If Rangers are not guilty I will Beel like a man who died in prison only for his sentence to be reduced to 5 years on appeal Whatever happens, Rangers are finished. The tribute act, whilst good at the originals songs, are nothing to us. They will try their hardest to talk about us or talk us down just so they can get some attention...but here is the thing...I don't care about the diddy leagues...none of us should I actually think that...as much as they moan about our obsession...they would beel like a man who got a 2 million pound loan, was told he didn't have to pay it back, then found out he did, if we started to ignore them I intend to put this into practice
I don't see it just as simple, surely there is at least a reasonable chance that HMRC will seek and get an appeal. Surely it is unlikely that any three people or what ever number is required could form the same opinion and draw the same conclusions as lat week. Looking at the evidence Rangers not guilty is plainly another miscarriage of justice and it is difficult to see how fair and impartial tribunal officials could reach their majority verdict. From the outset the two (which gave a majority not guilty verdict) spoke about Rangers could have been a wee bit more forth coming with their paper work. In fact it took five and a half years and a visit from the London police to Ibrox to get the relevant information. Most normal people would think that saying "Rangers could be more forthcoming " were people with an adjenda to find Rangers not guilty. So I think if HMRC believe they can get impartial officials to sit on the appeal they will appeal, so it is not just the SPL double contracts that may be left to be heard. Of course those of us that have been round the bloc a few times know that Rangers have always been escape artists. I forecasted many times that Rangers would not be found guilty in the tax case, but even I am amazed how they have managed it again. If it hadn't been for the good fans of all the SPL clubs in Scotland Rangers would be sitting proudly in third position of the SPL, reaping the benefit of the likes of Murray and the tossers on the SFA And SPL
I'm still interested in how this all works out for Rangers. If Hector appeals, how much their cheating equates to, SPL investigation etc etc. But with regards to Sevco, I saw a bit of one of their games earlier on. I don't know who they played this weekend but I assume they won. I would imagine I would hear about it if they didn't. I have no idea where Sevco are in their league either. I am interested in how Charles Green tries to sell them shares using the name of Rangers. I find it intriguing.
