Just thought that I'd remind you all how for we have come: Last season we were rooted to the bottom of the league: POS....CLUB................P...W..D..L...GF..GA...GD..PTS 20......Leicester City..15..2...4...9..15....26...-11...10 This is where we are now: POS....CLUB................P...W..D..L...GF..GA..GD..PTS 1........Leicester City..15..9...5...1...32...21..+11..32 It took us 34 games to reach 31 pts last season and the lowest position we have been is 6th this season. Will it last? Don't know - so enjoy the good time while they last boys and girls
... think you need to amend your points total for where we are now ... unless you are Lawro in disguise - because interestingly enough that is his points prediction for us as of now!
On March 21st , about 8 and a half months ago , you would be hard pressed to find a single Fox fan to even allow themselves to dream about where you sit today . And I thought we were a feel good story
Things can turn very quickly in this game; just see the likes of Wigan and Blackpool. Do you see Monk being kept on? If not, who do you think could turn things round for you? After all, you haven't suddenly become a bad side, just lacking confidence and a bit of self belief.
Not sure , Jenkins may give Monk one more chance to turn it around away at ManCity so the home fans can't have a go at him . If he wins he has 2 back to back home games against "Lesser teams" to save face for Monk and Jenkins . If he loses , Jenkins will sack him within the hour to deflect pressure off himself for Jenkins's return back to Swansea . That being said , apparently , we had no training session today so maybe the plug will be pulled tomorrow. Hard times no matter which way it goes . Be happy you got a gem in Ranieri , what a godsend .
I genuinely would have been chuffed if we were in Chelsea's position - as I bet they would be if they were in ours
Out of curiosity, what would your thoughts if Nigel Pearson became you manager - I am curious how he is thought of from opposition fans in light of everything last season.
Lol Bit of a hot head that seems to run hot and cold but that's just a poor opinion from someone who doesn't really know ...you tell me . Looks like we might have some Italian Mazzorati guy picking a team on Saturday already though , but that's just a gut feeling . Moyes and Rodgers 's ego's won't let them take the job after being bit by the " Big Team " bug , but again , just a gut feeling .. Regardless whose in charge on Saturday though , we're going to drive Man City down a little farther for you ...
16 games last season we were bottom of the league: POS....CLUB.................P...W..D..L...GF..GA...GD..PTS 20......Leicester City..16..2...4...10..15....27...-12...10 This is where we are now: POS....CLUB.................P...W...D..L...GF..GA..GD..PTS 1........Leicester City..16..10...5...1...34...22..+12..35 It took us 35 games to reach 34 pts last season and still the lowest position we have been is 6th this season
19 games last season we were bottom of the league: POS....CLUB.................P...W..D..L...GF..GA...GD..PTS 20......Leicester City..19..3...4...12..17....31...-14...13 Now, disappointingly(!) we are second in the league: POS....CLUB.................P...W...D..L...GF..GA..GD..PTS 2........Leicester City..19..11...6...2...37...25..+12..39 It took us 37 games to reach 38 pts last season and still the lowest position we have been is 6th this season
It took us 37 games to reach 38 pts last season and still the lowest position we have been is 6th this season. Lets hope that is the case come the end of the season. Looking at those stats & we really can say we have turned our fortunes around. Anyone got the stats for 2015´s calendar year ?
Really interesting. I wonder if this is a common belief for other club owners. we will never know but I find it interesting that Pearson still appears to be unemployed despite being linked to several jobs. Did they turn him down or he turn them down? Having been a premier league manager is he waiting for a job in the same league or is he seen as a risk and better suited to getting a battling side promotion.
I imagine he is waiting for either a relegation battle or a top championship team in a similar geographical area.
Pearson would be the perfect fit for Wolves, if they can sell the club and get new owners in with a bit of cash he would do well there, similar potential to us regarding fan base and facilities. Kenny Jackett not much more than a championship manager. I'd dread him pitching up there as I know loads of wolves fans.
Don't put to much in what I say , most managers are turning us down , we have a very hands on chairman which is making most would be managers "Hands Off " toward the job . While I'm here , you need 7 or 8 points this month and Bournemouth has the potential to be a real banana skin Then beat either Man City or Arsenal next month and you'll be coming around the clubhouse turn neck and neck with somebody , probably the Gunners
...good call ..I've always thought he would be just the man to sort out the mess that is Leeds United ..
Would haveto be an underachieving Championship club i recion, QPR would be the prime candidates for Pearson atm.
... don't doubt it ... but sooner or later Leeds will attract some more credible foreign investment ... and the immediate objective will be to look for a manager capable of building a squad to get to, and survive in, the EPL ... Pearson stands out...
