Here are some free agents who could be worth watching this summer.

    Didier Drogba:
Still one of the best strikers in the world in my opinion. Drogba garuntee's strength, determination and goals.

    Solomon Kalou:
Surprising release from Chelsea. Hard working player, and very much a team player to. Has scored some important goals for Chelsea in the past. At only 26, he could benefit our squad well as a younger replacement for Kuyt and Maxi.

    Jose Bosingwa:
Another release from Chelsea. Never really worked out after his big money move. A good player, but he offers nothing that we do not already have.

    Junior Hoilett:
Out of contract at Blackburn. Hoilett is a quick winger capable of providing width, pace and good delivery into the box.

    Owen Hargreaves:
Released by Man City. There is no doubt Hargreaves has the talent of a top player. Serious injuries ruined his long awaited big money move to England. He could be a great back up to Lucas if he can keep fit, but it is a massive if and would be a big risk.

    Craig Gordon:
Released by Sunderland. Gordon was very highly rated as a young keeper and became the most expensive British goal keeper when he moved to Sunderland for £9million. Injuries ruined his time there, and Sunderland have moved on. Could be a good back up keeper if Doni was to leave, and if he can keep fit.

    Maynard Figuroa:
Out of contract at Wigan, but is likely to receive a new offer. A good right back, famous for a half hal line free kick goal a while back. Could offer strong competition for Enrique.

    Mohammed Diame:
Contract up at Wigan, could get offered a new one. A strong defensive midfield. Could make a good back up for Lucas.

    Hugo Rodellega:
A good striker, but doesnt score enough, with only two goals this season. Could add depth to our front line, but really we need goals.

    Chris Kirkland:
Our former keeper is oh so injury prone. He had so much potential but could keep fit long enough. I can see him moving to the Championship. I feel sorry for the guy, he could have been England number one.

    Nigel Reo-Coker:
A common name in the Premier League. Seems to hang around relegation bound clubs. A good player, but he must gets stuck low down the league for a reason.

    These others from Bolton:
Gretar Steinsson, Paul Robinson, Sean Davis, Robbie Blake, Ricardo Gardner, Ivan Klasnic, Mark Connolly, Tope Obadeyi, Rhys Bennett, Dino Fazlic and Tom Eckersley

    Marcus Hennamann:
Released by Everton. Could be a good squad player keeper if we were to need one, but wouldnt be among my first choices.

There are more to. These are all Premier League based players. You can add players from abroad if you wish.

Only one I would take is Hoilett (sp), don't need extra RBs and everyone else is too old, not good enough or injury prone. Is Klasnic the one who scored a few for Bolton? Maybe worthy as a 3rd choice striker, if he is happy enough to play that part which I doubt.

its not much better than voronin, jova or degen... muck getting big wages.

not one, not even hoilett, would improve us with the objective of top 4.

drogba is never coming, there's no point even talking. he's off to us, saudi or russia or even china for 2-300k per week.

I stand by my view that kalou is a scared boy out of his depth in big games... how would he improve us eve nif downing is the same type? donwing, gerrard, suarez behind carroll... where does kalou improve that?
