"Q How long can the owners sustain their investment?

A The owners can do it for a long time. They didn't go into this considering the business case and without planning. There are no concerns about the funding on that side. Of course there is emotion involved in football, but Vichai (Raksriaksorn) is a big businessman and he examines the whole situation and is committed to the club for a long time."

Maybe this is just PR Bull?

What I say is this: These Thai's have invested plenty, but it's about their brand more than any splashing personal wealth for kicks. This is not just a toy, this is about getting into the European market for them. In the coming years I'm sure we'll see UK advertising for King Power and maybe even see them in our airports? Therefore, I would find it harder for them just to walk away as a disaster damaging the King Power image. Just a hunch.

I think fans of other teams really CAN get jealous....

Dirk - they will charge for all the stuff on non-match days, it will be another way of recouping something as a buisness for the investment on the pitch. The good thing is they are providing all this? It won't just be a football ground.

The burden wont fall on the supporters. I like, but will watch that one with interest. Can certainly see that a lot of revenue will come in from Asia with their marketing skills and contacts, so am not expecting an increase in the price of my pie and pint.
Wonder if they are going to continue with the free breaks to Thailand ?

I was really worried till I realised that unlike the Portsmouth saga, the owners have the capital and are not borrowing from banks etc, think Mandy learned his lesson from all that and knows who to sell to these days to make for strong, ethical and comitted investors

But are the owners loaning the money to the buisness that owns the club?

I just want to know if they are going to do something more entertaining than the draw at half time (the cheerleaders were a good idea :) )

I think we should pick 10 people out from the crowd and get them to try and hit the cross bar from about 30 yards, people who hit get £100

    more cheerleaders? ;)

I also enjoyed the mascot race a few years ago - I think it was Filbert, Dennis, Filbert's bird (who's name escapes me) and Topp the Tile (surely he has to make a reappearance now with our owners name?!)

And crossbar challenges and peno shootouts are entertaining, especially when Ian Marshall's involved.
