QPR boss: It's back to the drawing board By Tim Street Feb 11 2012 Add a comment Recommend inShare MARK Hughes admits he still has a lot of work to do with his QPR side following their 3-2 defeat at Blackburn Rovers this afternoon. Rs found themselves 3-0 down at the break before a late Jamie Mackie brace gave them a lifeline, but it was not enough. And Hughes, who has been in charge for less than a month at Lotfus Road, will now go back to the drawing board in a bid to avoid an instant return to the Championship. The Rs boss said: âIt was a lesson for us, a bit of a wake-up call, and I am still getting to know what I have to work with here. âI saw things today I did not realise were wrong, but we have now have a two week break, which gives me more time to work with the lads. âWe then have two home games in a row, so it will be a crucial time for us coming up, and it's important we get it right.â Read More http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...-drawing-board-82029-30311883/?#ixzz1m6ALWjiT
Good response from Sparky. None of this "I thought we were great, played our hearts out, look at the number of shots, on another day, with another ref, and the stars in a different position we would have scored 8. But it's a privilege to be here" bollocks. It's not right and we need to fix it.
Well I hope we dont see a 4411 ever again, Im very surprised we didnt go with a 442 with Adel on the wing where he was great. Hughes says the right things, i hated the "we were brilliant, it was the refs fault, keeper played a blinder" etc crap that we used to get, that was insulting to us. The only bright spot was that last minute goal too us out of the bottom 3.
Ferdinand is awful.Hall is awful. MH now sees that by bringing in Taiwo and Onuha, its not enough. We have no spine to the team,he will not be able to sort that out till the summer.
SB you consistently hit the right note. Sparky knows whats needed and what to do in the next fortnight. Whilst there's every chance we'll go down, I'm still optimistic.
We may have a spine with Diakite, we need it. Its defensive midfiekd we have the biggest problem not Central defense. We could use Cisse too!
I have always said we should have brought in another CB in January. We now have the same pairing as before (Ferdinand and Gabbidon/Hall) as Onuoha is at RB. We look very weak in that area.
It don't matter a rats arse what they say to the media really. MH needs to get it right on the park and he's not done it yet. Neil did, and it is a privilege to be here, we better enjoy it while we can.
Mark Hughes is a good manager but he is not Dynamo. I wish he was. Maybe we should get Dynamo in for a couple of weeks.
I must question the decision to sell Orr, as that has meant losing Onouha to RB and exposing us to an injury prone Gabbidon and a Championship standard Hall!
