Very impressive writing, especially this part

This is the story of the season when United, Chelsea and City didn't seem interested in winning the title, leaving the field clear for Brendan Rodgers' remarkable Liverpool side to mount a title challenge, their first since before David De Gea was born (he's since grown up and won the title himself).

Such a lovely tone to it, in fact it's so accurate, it could well have been penned by the bard himself when he was supporting Stratford upon Avon FC.

Only the RS would write a book to celebrate the season when they really ****ed up when the title was offered to them on a plate: dodgy refereeing decisions, favourites falling over themselves to lose against minnows. <laugh>

And to celebrate the title when they had not yet won it and for Stevie to slip and for Rodgers the muppet to chase a 11 GD and lose at the palace <laugh>

Now the whole fiasco is in preserved for ever in print. No wonder they are called ******ed <laugh>

To be fair, the penalties dried up towards the end of the season

Can you imagine what the response would have been if we did the same?

    Reeks of desperation and futility

Crazy book. Clearly written by a nutter. Which one of you is guilty? <whistle>

not so sure about the writer being a nutter, but you must be pretty dumb and gullible if you buy it. The reality is you came first out of all the runners up.

And you want to celibrate it with a book? Are Barcelona doing the same, Borussia Dortmund, Roma ?

    Of course not.

    Agreed.

Back to the suspect, though. I think the smart money's on Swarbs or Tobes. They seem to be the more literary-minded posters on here and, arguably, have the nous to pull this stunt off. The rest of you would be more likely to rent a plane and a banner than write novel-sized WUM piece. <laugh>

Joking apart, and being serious on this, I honestly thought it was a wum, and no one would really try to write a book about it.

But, using on of the best phrases available "You couldn't make this up" sums this fiasco up perfectly. What is even more laughable, is the title was stolen from Hull, who used it as a title for their club DVD the yet they got promoted to the premiership. To a small club like Hull it's a major achievement, so the title "Dare to dream" is more than acceptable.

But for a massive club like Liverpool? If United had done the same, I would consider the life of a hermit. Total humiliation and embarrassment.

It's ridiculous. It just has to be a wind up. I can't see anyone who supports LFC buying this, let alone writing it. The author must support a rival team . . .

No, just googled it and, apparently, he's the same age as me and an avid LFC fan!

<doh> You just can't make this up.

Until I actually see it on the shelf in one of the major supermarkets, I will still consider it to be a scam.

Will Liverpool fans really pay for this? The only market I could see would be for Everton and United fans to take the proverbial.

But on second thoughts, would I buy it? No way.
Would any self esteeming Liverpool supporter buy it?

Going to be some very large bonfires come November the 5th

Proof if it were ever needed that they and their fans are absolutely ******ed. <ok>

I would understand if a club like Hull or Palace (no disrespect to them) came second after missing the title and wrote a book about it. But the RS???

As I pointed out earlier, Hull FC did bring out a DVD with the same title. But they had just been promoted for the first time, so that's acceptable.

By all accounts, Stevie mes wife was well impressed. She was quoted as saying "that's the first time Steve has come second ever since I have known him"

    It's not a scam.

It's written by Paul Tomkins who's a massive twat, but an avid kopite with his own website.
