The Secret Footballer

I've just read a paperback called the Secret Footballer - it was an excellent read, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in football.

As the title suggests the author is a current professional footballer who writes anonymously - he also has a weekly column in the Guardian.

It gives a great insight into how things really work behind the scenes and what footballers think.

The guy has played in most divisions, including the Premier League. On the net the name I have seen the most is Dave Kitson, but no-one knows for sure.

 

Dave kitson dosen't strike me as the journalistic type.! but who knows..

 

not read it, but for anyone interested in a good football read, i would recomend gary nelsons left foot forward, gives a good in depth feel of life in the lower leagues.

 

Yep I read that quite a few years ago, plenty of Bristol City mentions in there. He didn't seem keen on us.

Alot of people thought it may of been david james a few years ago

 

Having read the book, I think it's an outfield player
