I can see Houghton getting the push, Rog and some of Brum's better players will be off, and the fans and owners will still be demanding results, and I don't think Houghton is the guy to deliver <ok>

Which surprises me because I think Grayson has done great at Leeds...taken them up out of a tough league to be in and had a fantastic first season up. I suppose a relegation fight would be the end of him but if they are around about where they finished last season surely they will keep faith in him?

Also, it's not as if they have spent a lot of money??

I don't know if Bates is an atheist, but I doubt if "faith" is high on his list of attributes.

You could put it another way - Grayson took them out of what looked like a certain playoff spot last season, even an auto chance at one time.

I know circumstances are somewhat different, but DJ paid the price for "failure" at his 6th attempt with us - I very much doubt that Bates would have given him more than a second chance, let alone 6.

I can see Grayson actually going back to Blackpool at some point.

But Grayson also took them to within touching distance in their first season back in the Championship, an impressive achievement with little spent and losing their top scorer on a free?

I felt it was a high standard play-off campaign last year too, we had a good team, Reading were on fire, Forest are a top team in this league and Swansea played some great stuff and won it!

Don't get me started on DJ haha ;)
