I think Alex Mcleish deserves to go first but it'll probably go Connor, Kean, Coyle. Mcleish has taken a big club with a big budget to the brink of relegation and produced a team who's sole ambition appears to be kicking the opposition into submission. Meanwhile you've got Pardew at Newcastle showing what should be possible for Villa
They may have a great history but even if they got relegated this season (which they will not), it will not be the first time it's happened. Those that remember the mid 70's will be well aware of that, all the same McLeish should be getting his arsed kicked out of Villa Park. I don't get the whole Villa are a big club thing though. Potentially they are and occasionally have a good season, even Forest were more successful in their 'stint' as being one of England's best teams.
Aston Villa, has spent time in the lower divisions, but they aren't alone there. I see them as a sleeping giant, although narcolepsy seems to have taken complete control of this once great Club. Villa's best years are behind them, but there was a time when a 20,000 plus crowd would turn up to watch their kit dry. I think you need to be from Birmingham,or have connections therewith,to fully appreciate just how "big" they were, and, hopefully, will be again.
