I know we've only got to win our games so it's ours to lose now but in reality at some stage we are going to drop points along the way. Unless you're a complete optomist (like me in the prediction league <laugh>), with 14 games yet to go there's plenty of time for it to go tits up for any side in the current top 6 - and that includes us.

That's why last night's Villa result was important to us, and tonight's other games could have a big bearing on where we finish. The results of the Wurzel/Fulham and Derby/Leeds are going to have a big influence on that table whatever we do at and I'm not letting Wolves off the hook yet either - I still reckon they're catchable however improbable the pundits see it. If they don't take all the points at home to Norwich tonight, they could start looking over their shoulders.

This last 14 games are going to be tough and from where I'm looking at it, there are no tougher teams out there than us. The purists might snub their noses at it, but come May it won't matter a **** - it'll all be about the table positon after 46 games. <ok>

The issue with Wolves is, they haven't had a disaster period YET. Most teams, no matter what, have a bad spell throughout the season and Wolves are yet to have one. I pray they have it when they come to the CCS. I, unlike most City fans are a complete pessimist <laugh>, I don't mean to be but I think I've picked it up from my step father over the years. A top 6 finish this season will be such a massive achievement for us and show how far we've come under Warnock with such little spent.

Onwards and upwards!! One game at a time! COME ON YOU BEAUTIFUL BLUEBIRDS!!!!!!!

I can remember when we were runaway champions with Malky Mackay...the pundits did not think we could sustain the form! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Wolves had their poor spell when they lost to us at Molineux

After a big set of results for us tonight an equally big weekend coming up.
Besides our game against the wurzles, Fulham host wolves, reading host derby and the Wendies host villa.
All games tricky for the top 4.

Yes beat the Wurzels and i think we will once again have a tidy cushion between us and 3rd spot.

If we manage to beat BC then I would prefer Fulham to lose wolves to widen the gap below us but if Wolves lose and then they lose to us later there could be 4 or 5 teams playing for the two auto spots on final day :emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat
if derby and villa were to drop points again this weekend then their bottle will surely be called into question

After Bristol City on the weekend we've still got Wolves to come at home, but that's the last of the high flyers - the rest are all bottom half teams.

It's the away games that look a bit daunting. We've still got to go to Brentford, Sheffield Utd, Derby and Villa - that's 4 top half clubs that we need to prevent winning. If we can win any of those it will be a bonus, but not allowing them full 3 points will be crucial, particularly Derby and Villa.

Now we've forced our way back into an auto spot, game management will be crucial. Warnock and his assistants will have a massive input into this run in with squad selection and particularly tactics - I don't think we could have anyone better.

To be honest there are no easy games in this league!!

We have now played everyone in the Top 5 home and away.

Let's hope for a good game of football on Sunday and that the "idiots" of both sides behave themselves

In our next six games till the end of March we play the 5 "B's", Bristol, Barnsley, Birmingham and Burton at home and Brentford away. I think we'll do well to get a point at Brentford but we should win the others. The only other fixture is Derby away: again another point. If we get 14 points, which I think is very achievable, we should have some space between us and the play-off contenders and set us up for a tougher April with visits to Sheffield United and Villa and a home game v Wolves as the first three fixtures.

Only if Carvalhal keeps you playing the way he has done.

One defeat in 9 is some effort. Don't take the foot off the gas.

Still a long way to go for both clubs for that to happen.
