In times like this maybe it's worth reminiscing a little to remind us of the good times and give us hope for the future. Remember where we came from? It was the Isthmian League when I started watching the Blues. Where were they when you started following the Blues and what memories would you like to share?

Bloodyhell Ron you've brought a tear to my eye, cheers for reminding me.I lived in Chalfont st Peter when i saw my first game at home to Newport County in the first round of The F.A cup and i was 13.We won 3-1 and went on to lose by the same scoreline at home to Peterborough in round 2 and i've been hooked ever since.
One of my favourite memories was playing at home to Monza in 1976 in a european competition final, having lost 1-0 away in the first leg we won 2-0 at Loakes park.I also remember going to Bodgers testimonial and final game when he was presented with a trophy and did a lap of honour and there was hardly a dry eye in the ground,ah,happy days!

Middlesbrough v Wycombe. FA Cup Third Round replay - 7th January 1975

Middlesbrough were top of Division 1 at the time (the highest division then) and ended up 7th. Wycombe, the amateurs from the Ishmian League.

I always kicked myself for not travelling up for the replay, having watched an incredible first round tie at Loakes Park when a diving header from our No 8 (or 10) flashed past the post with goalkeeper beaten. I was right behind the goal that day and thought we had gone 1-0 up. The match ended 0-0 and Souness could be heard, fully 30 mins from time, to "Shut up shop" with Jackie Charlton chain smoking on the touch line.

The one game I remember was at home to Kettering in a cup game I remember John Delaney scored & if memory is right we won 5-0 & this was possibly the half time score as well.
I can also also remember travelling with my old man up to Spennymoor in the 1960's for an FA Amatuer Cup reply the coach left at midnight & we stopped in Darlington at 6am in the morning. Lots of memories with trains as well.

I travelled up to Doncaster for an amateur cup semi final against Bishop Auckland and remember the disappointment from the large following when it was announced our centre forward Malcolm Hunt would not be playing. I think we lost 1-0.

Did anyone go to that epic FA Cup replay at Wimbledon?
