Just back from Barnsley, here are my ratings for what was a magnificent (for 75mins) performance. Davis - 8. Great command of his area, always calm and a great save at the end. Richardson - 7. Solid ocne again, great clearance off the end. Fonte - 8. Can;t speak highly enough. Unruffled as ever. Seaborne - 7. Fine. No real worries, often got infront of Haynes when needed. Harding - 7. Got forward well as ever. Will be harsh to drop him based on these 2 games. Guly - 6. Really good first half, nice touches and some good vision, very positive passes forward but faded out the game badly. Cork - 9 & MOTM. Excellent passing, great engine with bursting runs forwards and great interplay with Lallana & Connolly. Hammond - 8. Dominated midfield with Cork. Typical Deano performance. Lallana - 8. Typical Lallana, skillful and great runs forward. Some good balls in, deserved the goal at the end that he should have taken. Lambert - 7. Great hold up play and link up with DC. Had the better of mis marker in the air and played some nice balls forward for others. Connolly- 8. Absolute livewire. More of his link up play with Lallana that we saw last week vs Leeds. Always on the run. Keep this guy fit! Some of our passing mvoes were outrageously good, quick and neat. Very encouraging!
