Tony Pulis' influence has lifted Stoke, Crystal Palace and now West Brom into the mini-league above our 'Relegation Strugglers League'. Whatever you think of the man or his football he seems to have a plan that works in the Prem. What is it and where could we improve?
L listen to his views on helping get more English players coming through Then if you think I'm bizarre then so be it
Aren't West Brom's next three games Leicester, Palace and QPR (not in that order) which means h less they avoid defeat in all three, their safety cushion could be wiped out. Edit - which would be worry when four of their last five are Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd.
Pulis take's his squad and plays it to it's strengths, people in the right place doing what they do best. Poyet wanted everyone to fit his system. We needed a Pulis not a Poyet. But that said, in the long term Pulis struggles to establish his own brand and evolve squads to develop an established enjoyable style. Probably why he's spent his career as a very effective, successful short term solution for teams in trouble. I rate him, but he's a one year rolling contract kind of manager for me.
