12 months ago I'd have agreed. But Sagna is made of glass, constantly injured and often caught out of position. He never has 15-20 conistent games. It's always 5/6 and then an injury. Rinse and repeat etc. Debuchy has come on so much in the last 12 months it's crazy. He's our player of the season so far for me.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

Have to say I do enjoy venturing over here lads (and lasses). Some decent posters and given I think both of our first 11's and squads are very evenly matched I'm using you as our guide as to where we should be this season. I think (hope) we'll both finish top half.

Really? Since he recovered from a broken leg at the beginning of last season he's only missed 5 games through injury. I'd say that's pretty consistent. If you think Debuchy is better than ok, we'll have to agree to disagree!

Wow PTF I've certainly rattled your cage. I don't routinely make comments about you. This seemed to start in a comment where I put a smiley. Boy was meant as an exclamation (apologies I missed the mark out). I've never mentioned you being less than friendly, but it does appear you don't like someone being a little sarcastic or critical.

'Frankly' I don't think I need to take anymore care about what I write but maybe you should take a larger pinch of salt. It's a forum and I'll post as I see fit. As it happens you have replied to my comment that ended with a smiley... So if saying you are sensitive is insulting, then I stand by it and seem to be right and you should maybe see the hilarity of my 'jibes' and maybe take everything a little less exacting and literal.

On a side note, apart from watching my beloved bar codes. I have to say its entertaining watching you guys. Your starting to become my second fav team to watch. I like the style of play and your new boss seems to know what he is doing.

What position do you guys realistically see yourself finishing?

I think you will be about the same as us, maybe 7-10?

That would be a great result!

I agree 7-10, more likely 8/9. I too think we will finish adjacent to Newcastle.

On another note its actually quite refreshing to see some of the "other" teams do well for a change apart from the usual 4. This season is totally blown open and when you see the millions being spent by the so called top 4/5 teams its nice that we can keep in touch!

Last season I would have agreed with you, but I think that his decision making and his adaption to the new role under Pochettino has come on leaps and bounds this season. I used to get regularly frustrated with him, but there is definitely more direction and purpose to his play. He is maturing as a footballer and now fully adapted to the premier league.
He is starting his peak years and i'm excited about what could happen. His finishing and shooting have never been on a par with his close control(which is world class), but he is still chipping in.

You can indeed post however you like, just as you can act discourteously in real life if you want to. Not sure that's anything much to be proud of though.

And surely you know as well as I do that putting a smiley face after something doesn't automatically make it charming.

I could argue with every one of your points but I suggest we draw a line under this.

I love the way you wrap a little dig in with the 'discourteous in real life' comments, which is totally ridiculous on an internet forum when hardly anyone knows anyone and you certainly don't know me, and then say ... draw a line under it.

    Yes, lets.

    Good lord...

I really tried. How that is interpreted as a comment on your conduct in real life is beyond me.

Bloody hell you two clashed on the Osvaldo being charged thread and now this. This is getting a bit petty now.

On the subject of the thread, it is my opinion (probably worthless) that to play the pressing game, that we were so successful with earlier, needed the right blend of players, we are still trying to do it with players that are not suited to these tactics, we should be playing to their strengths, and using different tactics, what it is doing is strangling Rickies talent in the role that he has been called upon to do, which doesn't get him where he is at his most dangerous, you can understand why he isn't happy. Just saying.

The whole point was, in response to your assertion that you can talk to me however you like, that you wouldn't be so discourteous in real life, even though you could do if you wanted. Is it really that hard to understand?

Believe it or not I've tried that before. He didn't answer and kept going on the thread so I figured I'd try and just end it with a quick post. Obviously that didn't go quite as planned.
