Have you seen the new Evening Post website? Bloody awful design if you ask me, who the hell comes up with these kind of ideas, think I will stick to the BBC from now on, they may not be local, but I simply can't stand the post site http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/home
Yea I saw it yesterday, it's dreadful! At first I thought it was just the computer I was on, but then using my laptop I saw it was the same. Horrible design, not easy to navigate and read. But I do usualy like reading the post, so probs will just get used to it. However, on the post, does anyone else find that the people who comment on the website are usually idiots! They talk utter rubbish most of the time. This new lay out now puts peoples comments quite close to the top, and it really makes the site awful.
Actually tbf it hadn't loaded right haha. But now it has, it looks awful with that Lloyd-Webber theme techni-color border thing. And dificult to find your way around.
I have to agree. The new design looks amateurish. It's far too busy and those colours just hurt my eyes.
Been looking at other parts of the 'this is' websites they have newspapers all over the place, and most people are complaining about the sites, this is a massive fail for them, I have used many newspapers and this is in a league of it's own in awfulness , I just can't express in civil words how bad it is, basically it's complete and utter **** !
Are they still owned by the Freemantle Media group? I´m sure that basically means they´re run by the same company as the fascist post... I mean Daily Mail...
I agree. The new site is a complete mess. The home page is completely cluttered and it's not obvious where anything is. If they paid someone to come up with this design then they should be sacked. But looks like the work of a few of the numpties who work there getting together during their lunchbreak. Daily Mail website is much better than this, so hard to believe it's the same company. EP is a bit of a joke though isn't it. Most stories focus on the negative and try to get people arguing. There is never any reasoned reporting. It's like a schoolyard paper.
The first rule of website design is to give readers what they expect; online newspapers all over the world have fairly similar formats simply because they are easy to read and navigate. The new post site looks more like a club bulletin board. I hope they change it.
