    Believe it or not, there are a few:

    1) Great atmosphere - for 15 mins!
    2) A few good mini series of passes in first hour
    3) Taraabt WAS too good for them but lacked the foresight / team work in this game that Warnock had trained him in.
    4) TWO of their goals had an element of luck - the OG and the a severe deflection.
    5) DJ's pace and creativity stealing the ball from their keeper and creating a chance for Smith.
    6) Akos actually made a difference. Not enough but it was a difference.
    7) Dyer is on pay as play!!
    8) Jay's massive strike was a goal but for the lucky defender having his head in the right place.

    There were some good signs and enough for NW to work with and develop. I am sure NW will represent the need for more money to the board.

    It is a marathon over 46 weeks. It may well be a long season but then we all knew that last year anyway.

    It's one bad day at the office. We move on and see what tomorrow brings.

    Some good points made there...still can't get passed that horrible sinking feeling of disappointment. I wasn't able to make the game, so how was the atmosphere for the other 75 minutes?

    ============================
    My positive would be the transfer window is still open, it was there for all to see we need quality reinforcements.

    It's sadly rather predictable that Taarabt will be made the scapegoat when ever we lose/play badly. He's our one and only player with the ability to win a game on his own. Two full backs and a decent centre half (as we've been saying all summer!!!) and we'd be competitve.

    We had the best of the first half until Cahill's goal near the interval. The problem is, our guys went in with their heads down. It's a bit like a boxer moving up a weight, and spending most of the first round mesmirising his opponent with his fancy footwork but without laying a glove, only to be knocked down by a right hook just before the bell.

    Then Gabbidon's gaff o.g. killed off the game...
