I saw a suggestion that she should just be replaced by Danny DeVito and that nobody should ever mention it in the show.

    Nicked from someone else...

They should have had a cold open where it was revealed that Roseanne had been hiding rampant, extreme constipation that resulted in her dying from being literally full of crap...and then Dan welcomes us all the the Dan show, breaking the fourth wall to ask people to pray that he makes it more than a week before they get me too

Article II Clause I of the US Constitution

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

That bit at the end annihilates his blather just a tad - and that's before the minor detail that, for somebody to receive a pardon, they need to be convicted of a crime first...

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican, was asked what he thought of Trump's self-pardon claims:
"If I were President of the United States and I had a lawyer that told me I could pardon myself, I think I would hire a new lawyer." <laugh>
That's one of the most partisan right-wingers over there, too.

More words from a totally innocent man, who would never attempt to obstruct justice in any way. Honest.

Finding no milk in the fridge to have on his cornflakes, Chris Grayline has publicly blamed the supermarket for not putting the milk into his shopping basket because it definitely isn't the fault of the bloke who should have known he needed to buy milk that he was inconvenienced

Well if he isn't going to hold Govia Thameslink responsible for rail services up and down the country being utterly fubbernucked...

Israeli defence minister Avigdor Lieberman responded to Argentina cancelling their friendly with israel due to their massacring of Palestinian civilians with a statement that appears to be Zionist bingo: "We will not yield before a pack of anti-Semitic terrorist supporters."

Of course, his previous comments saying that every single Palestinian is a member of Hamas doesn't at all come across as patently ****ing racist...

Terrible news for the Tories: their most loyal Obergruppenführer, Paul Dacre, is stepping down as editor of the Daily Wail

An American grad spoke at his graduation repeating a message from a politician. At the end he said "Donald Trump!" The parents started cheering. The grad then said "just joking! It was Obama!" It went quiet...…...

Can't think why this might be pertinent...

Those are intelligent words actually. DD may be more clever than I gave him credit for. But as you suggest, rather pertinent too!

It looks like the Daily Mail will soon eat itself after moving Geordie Grieg from editor the Mail on Sunday to their bigger, uglier, prone to fits of pique sister.

"Why are they about to start eating themselves?" I heard you ask? Mainly because under Grieg's editorship the MoS had a pro-Remain stance, which is completely at odds with the position Dacre had positioned the Wail - and the most likely reason why, for the online article confirming Grieg's appointment, MailOnline disabled comments...
