It was a deliberate stunt to provoke a reaction. This is ALL about trying to malign and shut down the protests because it highlights an uncomfortable truth and reflects the majority of public opinion. I wish someone on a news channel would actually pin down mendacious scum like Falter or Suella on the lies they spout about the protests. The overwhelming majority are peaceful and in good spirit AS IS the way the police have managed them. There's never anyone challenging their bullshit narrative about the marches. The reason why ppl like Falter are attacking the police commisioner is bcos they want either him, or someone more hardline coming in, to run riot at the protesters so when it all kicks off which is what they want, they can point the finger and say, "aaha see they're all extremists" The police thankfully have not gone down that route but the amount of pressure being put on them I wouldn't be surprised if they succomb to it.
The Tory Fascists like Braverman (and this morning's mouthpiece Coutinho) jumped on the story and demanded Rowley's resignation so quick it was embarrassing. Either they are stupid or knew that it was staged and was all part of their agenda - and I know which of those the smart money is on. I'm no fan of the Commissioner, but he has so far stood firm against most Tory /xRW provocation, which I imagine makes him a prime target for attack.
It's incredible a cynical non-issue stunt has got this much traction. There'll now be more provacative like this, no doubt instigated by the CAA. The fact they HAVE to pull these stunts only goes to prove there's fck all legitimate they've got against the marches. Btw talking of traction, guaranteed Falter is on Question Time this week.
If he's on I'd love someone to actually ask what exactly makes jewish ppl feel unsafe in London when there are hundreds on jews who attend the marches and there's been zero incidents of any jewish person being attacked by anyone on the march. Also his whole argument today could be turned against him, simply by pointing out that he doesn't want ppl from other minorities using public routes because it may offend ppl like him.
