Lots of media reports that the Royal Mail dispute could have a resolution, not to sure about that, the devil is in the detail of a 36 page document which needs to be scrutinised carefully by the members , senior union officials are recommending accepting but from what I can see we are giving a lot to get little , I can see why the union are eager for this as RM in the beginning of the dispute wanted the union completely gone ,now they have turned it round and making inroads to restoring a dialogue for the future of the mail service. We shall see how honest RM are
That's great as long as they get the heads up. And can safely get to the mobile to switch it off for that limited time. I kind of understand the rationale behind the policy, but I can also see it as a solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. Much like the ££m's spent on fighting the non-existant election fraud. Oh well...back to the football, Maggie
That ignorant short sighted policy has already been in use by several countries with no notable problems. Some of their tones are pretty good too.
Oh do we have to !! At the moment anything to take my mind off of the football is always appreciated. This will be another painful watch in a season of painful watches.
It appears you can opt out of receiving the alerts so it should not be a problem. Providing you are aware they exist, which I was not until I saw this thread.
As I don't watch live tv or go on facebook it is pot luck whether I get some gov anouncements. I rely on radio mostly and I don't listen to that every day. Most of the time of course that last thing I want to hear are noises from this dreadful government.
Had to switch it off on all four of my phones. Can’t have the missus finding out about the burners I have for Jen, Ana and Maya. That’d be a nightmare.
Re: voter suppression... They've given up any pretence to hiding their true agenda. Some of their interviews have been excruciatingly awful. None more so than Croydon's favourite MP and his 'we don't know the size of the voter fraud as it happens out of sight' comments ..
No, but the majority of those without photo ID will be from the restricted and deprived communities that would generally not vote Tory. But you knew that already...
