Decades of training and she's actually worse in front of a camera now. LARPing Thatcher probably doesn't help, to be fair.
On R4 this morning she was adamantly stating that she was not trying to mimic Thatcher. Failed desperately, even against the tepid questioning of Nick Robinson.
Heard that interview. To be honest she didn't come across as badly as I was expecting (the Thatcher denial aside of course!), but then she started to defend Boris! I would have thought her advisors might have suggested to steer well clear of that. Also thought that she actually did a bit better than Sunak on R4 last week (all relative of course). Still think they got it wrong by eliminating Sailor Mordor, who by virtue of not having done anything important for very long, has that 'we don't have enough dirt on her' factor. Incidentally, in the 'I'm not trying to be Thatcher' pictures above, I wonder why in the armoured vehicle she's wearing a flak jacket? Not like there's much shrapnel flying about. Someone should have told her that Thatcher didn't. Also she seems to have a giant aerial growing out of her back, meaning she can be controlled at a greater distance.
This is because their internal polling suggests that she leads Sunak on loyalty. A good number of Tory members view the Sunak/Javid resignation as a backstab. They trust Truss more because she wasn't part of it.
Bad Enoch is claiming she only decided to run as Tory leader the day The Great Leader stepped down Presumably leaving out the part where Michael Gove knocked on her door and told her she'd be his proxy, which would be fine as Rupert Murdoch would have her back
Yeh - but remember the huge bonus we got for the NHS - Boris's bus promised it and he is one to keep his word isn't he?
