Not really mate. We need good speakers on our news channels and not some ‘street talk’ type. I know that presenters get voice and speech coaches to work with them long before they go on air. It’s the standard thing. It seems that now they don’t care who they employ. Sorry simply not good enough.
Why? Would it not be better to represent how language and speech evolves sometimes? I say “innit” and got A* in both my English GCSEs. It’s not an indicator of anything.

Well it’s true though. I know certain sections will want Brexit to fail. that seems a little trivial to worry about.
