That was a good turn out, all grounds this season will get a good green following, unfortunately we will not get many away fans to home park. Well it was a good away point.
Mrs Reid, thanks for the beer. I would love one but not had a drop since the baby was taken poorly. 5 months ago. I feel good tho, but i have said i will try until xmas and some people have placed money on it. So that money will go to the fund for the hospital. Its hard not to at times but i got to if you know what i mean. Cheers any way

Not drinking is a bit like giving up smoking joe. Simply don't put it to your lips and you can't fail. What Hospital are you collecting for? You are allowed to have a fantasy pint or two though.

It is rather sad that our away end is likely to come in a mini bus for most of the season. Shrewsbury would have made upwards of £25k from us today. Bet when they come here it will be £2500 for us. I was talking with my Mrs a while ago about doing a season of home and away with her one year. I haven't done the away thing before many times but it has always been great when I have win lose or draw. You can't beat the atmosphere when everyone is well up for it and lose their voices by the end of a game. I know you have said before that you have been an away follower so you know exactly what I mean.

Too many pints and she would be safer than she is right now. Nothing wrong with a good slapping though and you don't actually have to move around a lot for that. As a special treat you couldn't wear the school mar'm glasses as well could you like last time?

Well i am collecting for the PICU in Southampton. Never smoked so i am ok there!
Yep we will not see many away fans.
Yes you should go away its a great day out. I have been lots. I missed 3 away games in 2 seasons when ollie was about. My partner came to all the ones in the Midlands as we use to stay in Birmingham for the weekend. She didn,t enjoy the matches much lol.

Joe if the Riddler & Heaney take over the club, my principles wont allow me to put money in their pockets, so I was going to put the money away that I would have spent on a match day for a worthy cause ..... if that does happen I'd like to donate my match day ticket money to the hospital

Hey Gat, Thats great of you. Every little Helps you can do so on line, let me know when the time comes and will get you the details. Thank you. There is also a petition online that could be signed as they are trying to shut the heart ward at Southampton Hospital for children, that will affect us as we have no got the facilities at Plymouth, But if you have time have a look on the website.
Gat did you listen to the game.

I might just find a pound or two down the back of my sofa as well and perhaps "Miss Whiplash" could donate some of her fees.

I think the babes and Peter deserve a toast as well today Gat. Most of them can't have a drink themselves given the age range so we should do it for them. I was looking at an old photo today from my mum's collection of me in the school football team in 1960. Can't help thinking if that was today I might have gotten a game. I was 11. That's age by the way not shirt number as that was 7 when wingers were called wingers. And no I didn't miss an H out and mispell it.

Well I am going to jump in here, probably you will say uninvited bit this HAS to be said,

I have no time for the stuff that STB comes out with, totally unacceptable

    BUT

I can remember people on here being just as bad, if not worse about his family:

His wife and mother being slappers doing it for peanuts behind the pub in Stevenage.

His wife and mother in a pub laying on their back shooting ping pong balls out of their nether regions.

Various slurs about his supposed Sister

    And much much more!!

Absolutely vile greenies, I know who posted those filthy remarks and SO DO YOU!!

STB - I do not agree with what you say, nor the way you say it.

I believe that people on here had had enough of your anti Argyle stance and were the first to start with the personal nonsense.

    People and glass houses eh!!

Yes I listened I missed Sparksy doing the commentary though .... think we held our own really well against Shrewsbury, towards the end of the first half our inexperience started showing and I thought we were going to let a few in, but they came out after half time with fire back in the bellies, Hourihane had a really good debut match and I think after we've a few games under out belt we are going to have a team that are going to do really well ! Also the away green army did us proud you could here them singing throughout the entire match ..... if you can give me the link Joe I'd appreciate it, and even if the club isn't sold to them I'd still like to make a donation !

Yes you are right Nicky and I remember that now though I can't remember who said it - certainly not me BUT my guess is that it was in retalliation, there is only so much crap you can take after all. Anyway I don't believe we go onto the Stevegage boards causing trouble, he brings it on himself coming on here stirring up crap about OUR club.

As you say "has to be said"

Well Sensible out of the sixteen squad 10 were under 21, so if we raise the drinking age in this pub to 21 thats means its 5 <bubbly> for me and 5 <ale> for you ..... and for Joe :emoticon-0162-coffe

Yes so do I oldnickyb and I can categorically state it was not me. I have called him all manner of things but never referred to his mother or sister or wife or kids, aunties uncles or father. I have a very thick skin developed over years of rather black military type humour so he actually bothers others more than me when he makes his personal remarks in my direction. However, there are some things that are a no go area even for the black humourists and a defenseless baby is one of them. There is one thing that is certain. He came on here or rather 606 originally not to partake in banter but to simply wind up and pour his vitriol out. His persistence in doing so led to the responses getting lower and lower which is simply down to him. Yes people should be big enough to ignore it at the outset but human nature is seldom as it should be.

If I drank 5 pints I would be out of bed all night wearing the carpet out to the bathroom Gat. Can I have 5 short ones?
