Enough of the fruit based drinks.... I was never confused. Pint of vodka with a vodka chaser please and a pack of pork scratchings.

Did anyone go to the Truro game? Reports I have read not so good, but to be expected with a hodge podge team, though a couple of people have said they are keeping it on the ground and passing it around, shame it´s a few seasons to late.

Good Morning Mexijan, I didn't go to the Truro match but have been to the rest of the friendlies and although we might not win every game in the league we have playing lovely passing footy which will be entertaining to watch .... we have a solid defence line too which we didn't have last season either .... we should do well !

Gat..........Heaney and his Phantoms.........he just comes over as devious and obviously secretive......his track record doesn't inspire you..........only admitted his involvement when cornered......and reports at present suggests he has debts that are involving a court.

Ridsdale............past track record reads a little patchy.........Cardiff court case pending...........But Leeds and Cardiff are thriving Clubs now !.....he couldn't of been all bad.

Involvement with PAFC........Understood quite quickly the train crash that was inevitable.......and did something about it...........it could be argued he stopped Argyle from liquidation..........others say he's only doing it for his own gain........what's wrong with that if it saves the club from the abyss. I see at present only positive things from his time at Argyle.......you name me anyone else who would have stepped in and helped in our hour of need. Others just talked, Ridsdale rolled his sleeves up and got stuck in.

Just read your post Gat and to be honest I'm not slagging anyone off for disliking either of the gentlemen you quote. In the case of Ridsdale however, I think people would be hard pressed to put their finger on something the guy has actually done wrong. Heaney is fair game as we know nothing from him or who is co-horts are. There is simply a perception that Ridsdale is one step away from being the Devil incarnate because of the opinions of fans from other clubs who were more vocal than the Ridsdale supporters. Not all fans from previous clubs think he was a disaster for them. As plymborn says, he hasn't put many steps wrong since coming here despite the anamosity towards him from sections of the public. Nobody else came galloping out of the woodwork. Would you actually be putting money into his pocket if you continue to support Argyle? Debatable point given our financial situation at present. I think it will be a good few years before we head into profit or are worth anything on the buying and selling front. Like everyone else you have to go with your own instincts and only you can answer which is the route to follow.

As Sensible sensibly stated Risdale hasn´t done anything wrong here..yet, well maybe the post on the golden share that was later removed was somewhat mis-leading. As for the other clubs not sure on the Leeds side but I was living 20 miles from Cardiff when the golden ticket thing went on and would say it was the large majority not just the more vocal that had a dislike for him. One of the guys I worked with was a 30 year supporter of the club and swore he wouldn´t renew his season ticket whilst Risdale was still there. In the end he´s what we´ve got and I will give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

Anyways it´s the weekend so what´s everyone got planned? Quite night tonight, day by the pool tomorrow and on the lash in the evening for me. Sunday will be cancelled due to Saturday night. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Evening all, thanks for not slating me, so the drinks are on me, and make them doubles lol .... I hear what you are all saying, but I wonder if nobody else is interested in us because they havent been given the chance too .... I just fear under Risdale we will be returning to the dark old days of Maculey ..... Heaney is having a clause put in that he can buy back the club within 12 months for the same amount he's selling it to Risdale ..... I am a good judge of character (that comes with age lol) and I have a bad, bad feeling about both of those men .... Oh well I'm fed up of tossing and turning trying to decide what to do, so I guess I'll just have to wait until its all signed and sealed. But in the meantime can I get anyone another double ? I'll be beside the pool tomorrow too Mexijan .... well its a washing up bowl that I can put my feet in lol .... was going to go to the beach but they'll be packed. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend whatever you are doing !

Sorry mexijan but the barmaid is now a funny shape. She has melted too far and her top half is now sticking out of her hips with one higher up than the other. Her nose is on her chin. The fridge wasn't a good idea as they have set now and the situation is irrecoverable. Pity she hadn't learned about superficial earlier. She can't iron either by the way.

I'm off up to Home Park on Monday now that my mate is back off his hols. That will be another 4 season tickets in the bag. Should pay Simon Walton for a couple of days. errrggggggH! Still makes my blood boil a bit that one. Need a stiff one now.
