NotDistant...........I assume you mean that your just too tired after a hard weeks work to bother........you surely don't mean anything else..........or do you?
Some exaggeration for dramatic effect it's true! Being in a 2 female, 1 male household I don't think spending all evening here would be very popular, that's more to the point.
A tea or coffee break in the afternoon notdistant?????? But it's the wheels of industry and all that. When I was working you were lucky to get a paid break on Christmas Day let alone one in the afternoon. Bloody mollycoddled these days. Never mind the female/male count just put your foot down and do as you are told.
Yes Charles Dickens did write about those times sensible............yes I think You would fit some of his characters.........He didn't model them on you did he?
What a pee off afternoon with no football on to take any real interest in. Had the grandson around today and fought two wars with his soldiers and numerous games on the WII but now he has gone home the afternoon is a bit of a let down. I need a pint of Mrs Sensible's Best and make it snappy. She is already so the beer might as well be. I now know that if I don't have football to take care of my winter afternoons how bored I would be.
Cheers Mrs lalala. Just to add insult to injury. I put the TV on earlier to find the England rugby match on with 2 minutes left to play. I didn't even realise it was on or could have watched that. Waited for the France v Ireland game this evening just to say I'd seen some sport today and it gets called off just before kick off. Now I'm really pee'd. Keep the pints coming until I fall over.
Mrs sensible doesn't drink anymore. I walked into the kitchen one day a while back and heard her talking to a bottle of wine we had on a window cill right next to a photo of me. She was saying rather savagely to the bottle "you make me sick". Now my view is if a bottle of wine makes you that upset then she shouldn't drink. I said to her at the time that if she felt the need to talk to anything about a problem then she could talk to my photo right next to the bottle and she was so moved she ran out of the room crying. I like to do my best for her.
I expect the photograph is there to remind her why she needs to keep drinking..........poor old Mrs sensible.......caught between a rock and a hard place.
I'm shocked nobody is in tonight barman especially after our wonderful afternoon. Line up an assortment of alcoholic beverages if you please, take one for yourself and take for a milk stout for the old bloke who wanders around here early in the mornings. Might be a couple who pop in from far flung places later so better chuck one behind the bar for them as well.
Line em up barman this could be a long night............... I've been having a look at the other sites tonight just to keep up with opinion and they are pretty quiet as well. You would think they would be buzzing wouldn't you given we don't get many Saturdays like this one.
greenjock is in because he is busying himself posting on ATD. Amazing how having a small lodger can keep you in. I could not be doing with going out on a weekend night. Far too many idiots about these days and I'm getting a bit old for the nightclubs. Most I stretch to is a couple of pints in the Hyde Park Social Club after a home match.
Christ who opened that tomb? Hello plymborn you scared me there for a minute sneaking in the back door. I've put a milk stout behind the bar for you. I've had my moments just not recently is all.
