I told you it isn't moaning it is constructive criticism. You don't need central heating joe it is just soft living that has made everyone think they do. Yes I have got heating and no it isn't a candle in a jar. Generations grew up without the stuff and simply stuck on another jumper or sat under a blanket or both if it was really cold. Mind you half of them died of consumption I suppose but the species didn't all die out. We have loads of stuff we don't really need because somebody has told us we can't live without it. I mean what does a lampshade actually do? Is it essential to have a matching soap dish with toilet roll holder? Does it matter if the cups and plates match if all you do is dirty them, wash them and put them away where nobody can see them. What's wrong with a jam jar instead. I contemplate these things on a daily basis whilst lounging in my reclining chair. An essential in anyone's life.
Mrs sensible must find you a barrel of laughs sensible Now if you were of the superior sex you would know that all things must match in the household. Lamp shades direct and soften the light, oh and jam jars are so last millenium. Reclining chairs on the other hand are for the old and infirm only
Now see how silly and girly all that lampshade stuff sounds. Now if you take the lampshade off the light is directed everywhere. Why would you want to put a light on only to darken it or in girly speak "soften it"? You have a bit of bath next to the taps where the soap fits perfectly well. I might concede the jamjars as they are not suitable on a health and safety front given they have no handles. However you can drink out of a saucepan. Duel purpose saucepans. Use them for cooking in or drinking from. Great invention. Houses these days are full of useless contraptions everybody buys because some stupid advert says it is a must have. Why do you need more than one pair of shoes at a time?
i agree Sensible its not essential, but most have it now and lots want it. So its keeps us very busy! Like you say a lot of things are not needed, but its a different era now. Every one has to have it all. What time does the meeting stop or could it be a long one?
If it's men only then they will cut to the chase and it will be over fairly quickly. If they let women in and allow them to ask questions we could be waiting for news until this time tomorrow joe.
Have you seen some of the stuff jiggle has pasted on here as its on Twitter, take a look on thread, About tonights meeting. We will await the outcome
I knew I would get you with the shoes one Mrs Reid. My daughter has a different pair for each day of the year with bag to match. Has a caravan in her garden to store them all in not to go on holiday. Has enough cloths to fit out the entire population of China. You only ever need three of anything. One on, one in the wash and one spare in case of accidents.
Just read the story so far and to be honest it is pretty predictable stuff. What is there that we didn't mostly know already. Perhaps somebody will come up with a question and they will actually say something new.
I agree, most of that lot we knew (or strongly suspected) all along. Have we leared anything new here other than the amount of players needed and the meetings with PR regarding players? Still we are hardly in a position to complain as we weren't there.
Not complaining just not surprised is all. I don't care if the entire City of Plymouth turned up the answers would have been the same and we would know no more than we do now. Lets face it we are never going to be privvy to the inside workings of all of this no matter how much pressure there is. It's the old mind over matter syndrome. They don't mind and we don't matter. That's the crunch isn't it, people like me will go to watch the football no matter what I think of the Board and they know there is a band of people just like me out there. If the club did not survive at some point in the future would the preferred bidders actually care? I strongly doubt it. I just hope that there isn't some stupid "lets all stay away" protest in the end because we are going to live or die by the income through the gates and it is certain there isn't going to be any cash from elsewhere.
"in the end ....... we are going to live or die by the income through the gates and it is certain there isn't going to be any cash from elsewhere" Absolutely spot on - and football would be lot healthier if all clubs were forced to do that.
Supposedly the new laws will encourage this but just see too many loopholes in them. It should be this way, unfortunatley there are a few stupidly rich people who want a toy/status symbol but not enough of them to go round all the clubs.
