http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03zyqm9 Might be worth it's own thread this, but no doubt it'll get buried. From about 4 mins to 30 mins. Stark listening.
His loyalty ultimately seems to be to the Allams. He seems to have a lot of splinters in his arse when it comes to answering the question "How has it come to this?"
Honorary President, is/was behind SLS sponsors a few years ago. Fundamental in getting Bruce to come here Might be son or related to previous 'gentleman' chairman Bob Chapman (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
Was not impressed. He repeats himself an awful lot and really says very very little. Spoke out of both sides of his mouth too. A run with the hare, hunt with the hound type of individual. Belongs to the Rilke school of philosophy:: " Who speaks of conquering? To endure is everything."
all that says to me is that we wont hear anything new as he was pussy footing around , definite "mutual consent" coming out tomorrow and he is still licking their arses
He repeated the Allams had no money to spend. Why didn't Burnsy or White ask about the vast amount of TV money due this season. Surely some of this is earmarked for spending ? What happened to the £18m transfer budget ? Telling that he said the club would have probably been sold if Assem hadn't have been ill which is a roundabout way of saying that Ehab is useless.
http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/article/2016-17/club-statement-3201375.aspx] and there we go , mutual consent , do not expect any titbits of info from the departed
"Assem and the family have done a great job over the last four years..." he ended with. Maybe reading too much into it, but I think that's a deliberate exclusion of Ehab. "If Assem hadn't been ill..." I think you can take a bit out of these tidbits.
Not had chance to listen yet, but... If the Allams had no money to spend, I'm hoping he was questioned as to why an excuse of the sale being put 'on hold' so as to 'not disrupt transfer dealings' was made?
Peter Chapman is a very good guy, and has done a lot to help the club. Bruce has a lot of admiration for him, as does he for Bruce. I got the feeling that he didn't want to burn his bridges with the Allams totally, hence the positive comments, but at the end of the day he knows it was all down to the Allams, and in particular Ehab who frankly is useless.
