Vikings secondary has been bad

 

I cannot see our offence scoring another td therefoore we nneed a pick six or fumble td

 

And another long pass where an Eagles receiver is about 5 yards away from the secondary, that’s the game anyway. Closer than I expected but both teams pretty average this year

 

Why is it that every deep throw there is never anyone even remotely close. Every single time.

 

What has cost us is our inability to convert red zone trips into touchdowns. More than the picks and their big plays. One TD from what, 5 or 6 times in the red zone isn't going to win you games.

 

Because the secondary isn’t very good when they play against good receivers

 

Yeah, considering the talent on the offense it’s been piss poor this year really. Sure they’ve been unfortunate with the O line getting a lot of injuries, but today was nothing to do with the O line and just **** execution.

Hockenson would be the first player I cut at the end of the season when they are going to be in cap hell and have to make some moves

 

Agreed - he's not justifying his salary. If Van Ginkel can't stay healthy he's another candidate.

 

There’s loads of candidates tbh, but issue is the team is very top heavy with no real backups who could step into starting roles. Will be interesting how they go about it, knowing the Vikings probably just give everyone extensions to move money about and continue being mediocre.

Key thing is McCarthy this year, rest all feels pointless

 

Didn’t realise the Vikings were the Thursday night game this week. Conveniently on the same day the new FM comes out so might stay up for it
