The next 10 games will either see us into mid-table security or the scrap we don't want to be in, how many points do you think we'll take?

    Dec 31 - Arsenal (A) 0
    Jan 2 - Norwich (H) 1
    Jan 15 - Newcastle (A) 1
    Jan 21 - Wigan (H) 3
    Feb 1 - Villa (A) 1
    Feb 4 - Wolves (H) 3
    Feb 11 - Blackburn (A) 3
    Feb 25 - Fulham (H) 3
    Mar 3 - Everton (H) 1
    Mar 10 - Bolton (A) 1

That would take us to 34 points from 28 games with the Top 6 in the final 10 games. Hopefully, a batch of new signings will have gelled and we can reach the 40 point mark but it's gonna be a tough prospect. Home form simply has to improve...

    Mar 10 - Bolton (A) 1

i can see us gettihng 9 to 11 points depending on Newcastle away and Bolton away as we could get more points...........................

Blimey...you think we'll be unbeaten for 9 games after Arsenal?

    Dec 31 - Arsenal (A) 0
    Jan 2 - Norwich (H) 1
    Jan 15 - Newcastle (A) 0
    Jan 21 - Wigan (H) 3
    Feb 1 - Villa (A) 0
    Feb 4 - Wolves (H) 3
    Feb 11 - Blackburn (A) 0
    Feb 25 - Fulham (H) 1
    Mar 3 - Everton (H) 3
    Mar 10 - Bolton (A) 1

12 points from the next 10 games...and that may be optimistic imo!

My word that's a decent run of games in the new year. If only we can make a few prompt signings to take advantage. What an opportunity to be safe before we play the big boys.

My point entirely, Newcastle might just be too early but a point there would set us off well for a run of fixtures that has been kind to us. Bear in mind Bolton have the top six in this period and the others play at least three of them so we can get a run going that may be just enough to see us clear and give some confidence for the run-in...

As a neutral I think this is what will happen

    Dec 31 - Arsenal (A) 0
    Jan 2 - Norwich (H) 3
    Jan 15 - Newcastle (A) 0
    Jan 21 - Wigan (H) 1
    Feb 1 - Villa (A) 3
    Feb 4 - Wolves (H) 0
    Feb 11 - Blackburn (A) 0
    Feb 25 - Fulham (H) 3
    Mar 3 - Everton (H) 1
    Mar 10 - Bolton (A) 3

I make that about 14 points from your next 10 games which would leave you needing about 9 points from your last 10 to stay up, but 6 of your last 10 are to top 6 sides and 3 of the other 4 are away so it'll be tough.

The next 10 are indication of where you will be come May, do well in your next 10 and you'll be laughing, on the other hand if you get less than 10 points from your next 10 games (point per game) it'll be a tough ask to stay up.

But at the rate the North West clubs are going at, you could hypothetically win 2 games out of your next 20 and still stay up :bandit:

Are those predictions based on today's team or the future team? Either way, shows we are possibly in a relegation battle unless January sees a dramatic change in the win rate. The ride goes on!

obviously the results in feb and mar are not based on the squad we have now i believe NW will have signed enough quality to pick up results against the teams around us.

We need that squad depth for certain - we're getting to the stage where teams tire and can sink like the proverbial post-Xmas poo. Need to ensure that's not us.

Even without signings, these games (ignoring Arsenal where points are bonuses) are where our fate will be decided - we need form and to be 30+ points coming out of this IMO.

What with the major signings coming in Jan, I think about 16 points from these matches is not too unrealistic.

Even from Mexico those positive vibes keep on flowing through. Outstanding DT, though get the impression the holiday must be a little dull. Ever try catching a fish with a worm soaked in Mescal?

I can see us getting 15-20 points from that load, although I know I'll predict us to get 30 points in the prediction league :D
