Don't see why there is so much negativity towards the new kit! It's new and original (for a modern day gillingham shirt) and IMO better than this years with that nasty pinstripe. Glad were celebrating the centenary year by replicating the first gillingham kit. On a personal note next year will be a good year for me and I suppose I'm glad to see the new kit and the new beginning. The kits aren't going to be changed so people wining wont help anything plus if you don't like them don't buy them and this time next year we will all be talking about going back to a blue home shirt.
I think last seasons kit was better than this season, however the Pink is a popular kit and I think they should have continued with that one aswell.
pink might of been to similar to the red? It's likely a black kit will remain as a third kit in case of any other team being mainly red next year eg rotherham
Agree with you completely. The criticism that I've seen from some fans towards the chairman for these new kits is unjustified. Anything is better than the pink kit this season!
I can't see any reason why people should criticise Scally over the choice of kit, he has choose it to represent the club in an important year, I am not a fan of the kit but will wear it with pride as it is something to remember.
must say, i actually quite like the kits of next season and would buy both...be it under a new manager, decent enough for scally to put his hand in his pocket and back...hence us staying where we are in the mean time, yet again having stuck with a cheep option as per usual, because of mr scally not wanting to pay for a good calibre coach/manager and assistant !...getting us where we need to be !
I don't mind it too much, the only thing that I'm questioning is the tie up collar. That said it's a celebration of the club and it should be applauded even if the original kit didn't have a sponsor on it p.s. The 1980-81 Adidas kit looks superb.
Three new kits this year-two next....nice little money spinner. Bukta kit from '77 still the best for me
