Once again the media is getting on my ****ing tits... we all know we never get the credit we deserve when things go well for us... but today surprise surprise, our thumping is mentioned everywhere (and accurately) main story on all the championship sports pages, skysports, yahoo etc.. i even went on my phone after game, and our loss was the only championship documented story (surrounded by 6 premiership stories) on the main "football" page. They're such ****s honestly.
Because everybody likes to kick us when we are down m8. It is the same when they report about the area ALWAYS report the negatives NEVER report the positives.
The media just love to fan the flames of the negative society we find ourselves in.....oh and they're a bunch of ****s!
We've had masses of coverage this season, more than any other time I can remember, but we've just been hammered 4-1 at a team trying to avoid relegation, of course it's going to be mentioned.
So we get no attention despite being 2nd (in your view, I've read lots about us), then when we do get a mention after a 4-1 humping and because we're 2nd, you're moaning we're getting attention? Is this a windup?
in media terms, good news is bad news and has no mileage. bad news fills space, enables the lazy jounalist to have an easy life and makes bold headlines. all part of the 'news' production process.
So what and who cares what the media thinks anyway ? i dont. That prick Adrian Durhan from talksports was having a right go at Steve Bruce prior to the game once he got wind that BOYD WAS ONLY ON THE BENCH. Once we got 3-0 down he said cheered up a bit. But any team in 2nd who goes 3-0 down inside 8 mins deserves all the bad press they get. Talk about being late on the pitch for an important game.
