Its possible it could work Stroller but I'd have my doubts. Hoddle hasn't managed a team in 8 or 9 years and that's a long time in football. Ferdinand I'm sure would be a decent coach as he's been in that game a while now. Hilly though? Has he even laid out a set of cones yet? You're right about Bond and probably Jordan too. I think their time is up. Ideally I'd like to keep Redknapp in charge with Hoddle coaching full time along with Ferdinand and those two lads let go.
The time to have got rid of him was May 2013, then May 2014. I wish he had never got anywhere near the club, but he's not going to be sacked now, he's probably hitting his targets in terms of league position, no visible sign of player unrest (Barton will immediately slag him off as soon as he does go of course), it's 100% Redknapp's team, he has to rumble on and if we get lucky we'll stay up. At the end of the season we have to get rid and make a decision on the manager depending on what league we are in. But I suspect, if we do stay up, Redknapp and his cronies will stay, and we will be in for a very similar experience next year. So keep him for this season, though that does not mean he can't be criticised.
+1 If a new manager came in I doubt that he would make the sort of significant difference that many on here might like to believe is possible He won't be able to throw lots of cash around this month to strengthen the squad - and neither will Rednapp Could a new manager get any more out of the existing players? Possibly, but this would be a huge risk Better, in my view, to make a properly considered decision at the end of the season, and to get in the right man, not just whoever is currently available
We are not currently in the relegation zone are we. Considering we'd all take 17th and we are above that, I go with the status quo but have options lined up if we sink fast.
To answer the first part, a defeat at Burnley would not bring a change of Manager, it would simply strengthen Harry's hand in demanding we bring in a number of new faces to survive. I think the fact we are 16th and two points above the 'water-line' puts Harry in a virtually impregnable position, he has us 'safe' at the opening point of the window so he can demand what he likes and a timely defeat at one of our main rivals would actually be perfect for him to underline his demands. As far as his replacement when he does go, it depends whether we are still a PL team or facing oblivion. If we stay up I would love to see Clement, especially if he can bring some class La Liga players in as well. The other option doesn't bear contemplating...
Don't think now is the time to change as likely to rock the boat & whilst I don't think we're in a good position it could be worse. Plus not convinced any of the alternatives mentioned would be able to make an immediate improvement. As far as staying up is concerned I think WBA have made an excellent appointment in Pulis & think they'll pull away which does make life more difficult for us.
Tony F cannot and will not do anything at this moment in time. He has far more important things to deal with. And our little club is not in crisis... nothing can or will happen.
Of course TF has bigger and more important things to deal with, Beth, but he doesn't run QPR on his own. I don't expect anything to happen regarding the manager, but it could, and should, in my opinion.
Weren't we 'safe' when TF sacked Warnock? I'm pretty confident that Redknapp has been told there will be no big money signings in this window. We need someone to better manage what we have.
This. I read recently rumours anyway that TF was going to delegate much of the direction of QPR. He certainly should. There are more than enough people in top managerial football positions in our Club to handle the urgent need for a new Manager and new players.
The two fellas above (sound guys by the way) are the most vociferous opponents of Redknapp's. I think its only fair to ask them, once and for all, to tell us where they stand on Adel Taarabt's current and recent behaviour. I believe the two may be linked
