    Shame you couldn't come here but I don't blame you with the cost involved. If you're heading to Germany, go to Liechtenstein for a day just for the novelty value if you're near enough. Although the Swiss Franc is it's official currency, if it's still as it was in 1991 when I went there, you can pay for most things with a range of different currencies - a lot of shops had prices in most Western European currencies (pre-Euro, so a long list), US Dollars and even Japanese Yen! Unfortunately, due to all the tightening on financial crimes around the world you probably can't do that any more.

    All of the shops in Le Blanc, about half an hour away from here still accept French Francs.

    Might consider that Barry, we are not stuck to a timetable nothing is planned or wont be till I get there, so keep the different ideas coming folks!
