For everyone who is interested when I return home I will organize some questions which will stand until they are answered correctly.
All the answers will come from the following books:
The official centenary history of Watford FC, 1881 - 1991 writen by Oliver Phillips
The Watford Football Club Illustrated Who's Who: All the Players and Managers Since 1881 writen by Trefor Jones
also from watford-mad and the official websites
When I buy more Watford FC related books I will expand the questions.

This site seems to be struggling rather today.

Is something happening that we should know about? <doh>

It is the number of people posting and visiting at once lol. Mick is looking into new upgrades but apparently the next server update/upgrade will be expensive. We can keep you informed as we find out.

Bit like our defence, a bit of pressure and it caves in. ;)

I have just taken advantage of the window to transfer from the kitchen sink (washing up duties) to the sofa (with a glass of beer)...a good move I think and not a single agent's fee involved...

I am sure my agent takes a fee from me for buying my services and then a fee from themselves, or me, for selling my services.

Oh good it is working again, if slowly.

Fancy the official site and the WO getting news out before us. Not a good day not606. It has shown up the failings. :(

Finally I am returned. Is Joe Garner good? I saw he was sold for over £1.000.000 some years ago but he does not play often.

It depends on who you ask AK. Some have said he is good and hard working, others have said the opposite. His goals tally is certainly nothing to shout about, but he is young and the £1million transfer fee a while ago could mean something. But then again we paid £3mill for the lump of lard that is Nathan Ellington!!

I did see a description of him as a poor man's Kevin Phillips. I also read that some Florists would rather have let some of the higher paid leave in preference to him. Apart from what I read I know little about him.

Morning all, it's good to see that the site is up and running again. Yesterday with so much transfer interest it really showed up that you cannot run something like this with insufficient server space.

I have been wondering how the Aidy to Swansea rumour started. It was not one of your rubbish forums, but actually the Beeb saying that he was in talks down there. I suppose it does show that we still take notice when they tell us something even if they are slow in the process.

    Morning all,

Now with the option of skipping to the final page of the thread using the app, I can again post in freedom on the Nest!!

As for the Mariappa rumour, I can only assume it was based on assumption! Mariappa seems a logical choice. Young, plenty of first team experience, pacey, good feet and known by Rodgers.

Glad he is still a Watford man.
